I found out on some documentary on making men garments by hands that if fabric come on bulk and us folded by half that mean what its facing you is back .... it was made this way to safe time on ĺating fabric to pre cutting in standardised American patterns in Latin America. If I found video (in Spanish with multilingual subtitles ) I will add here.

Hi. I am so glad I saw your Channel. Very well explained. I would never have dreamt or imagined that your cowl pattern had to be placed on the bias. Wow I learnt something amazing from you,THE EXPERT SEWING PROFESSOR. You give me the desire and will to sew. I subscribed to your KZitem Channel. Far too precious to ignore. Thanks for sharing and caring.

Sometimes I find it is hard to get the fabric to line up squarely. Also, In woven fabrics, do you pull a thread through to find the grain line from selvage to selvage?

Thank you for the videos, although I have sewed for a long time, however I find this review extremely helpful. It is also a great review for sewing all the trendy fabrics out there, because some of them are really neat, but obviously require special handling. Very professional and your descriptions and illustrations are right on.

I just put a small safety pin on the wrong side of the fabric after I cut out the pattern but before removing the pattern piece.

Sometimes after I wash fabric, the fabric seems off grain, especially in the case of cottons. Is there a way to correct this? Does it iron out?

Is there a tutorial on how to layout pattern pieces on a single layer fabric? I was told it is better to cut all your pattern pieces on a single layer. But I don’t know when to have pattern piece flip up or down on a single layer. Thx Sonya

No Sorry, I don't have any videos on cutting fabric single layer. It might be better under some circumstances like using a napped fabric or when needing to match a dominant pattern. But under general circumstances, cutting double thickness is usually fine.

With my sewing friend I would call it *Show* side and *hide* side. Its interesting to know there is not a wrong side to fabric, that I have choice in which side of the fabric will be showing. Really nice lesson thank you.
