"It's...beautiful." *Continues ruthless conquest in the name of Kyros*

Strange. For all the hype people made about Pillars of Eternity and Divinity Original Sin 1/2, this game went under the radar for me, but I like it a lot more than those other two. I've completely forgotten what Pillars even was about.

I knew about Tyranny as "obsidian dlc" from E3 in 2016 or 2015 and I anticipated it since. Otherwise game got fuck all publicity and very poor marketing. I have only finished PoE1 once during fourth attempt - always got bored out of it. Tyranny twice and I am in love with the ost.

Pillars of Eternity is a game with one of my favorite RPG storylines of all time... But man, oh man, if the gameplay doesn't *drag* in the middle. The plot cul-de-sac that is the Dunryd Row portion of the game made it genuinely hard to finish. It was so easy to get lost, because despite the fact there was seemingly a very definite intention for the order you were supposed to do the quests in they never made it apparent. You just had to try, fail, and then go "Okay, not high enough level for that one, onto the next." It made it so I legitimately never wanted to finish it again. Fucking love that games story, I will gush on end about the world building and how amazing the ending is but uhh... God, bad middle.

kicking Tarkis Arri off the top of the spire with a note stating Vendrien's well is mine and killing Fifth Eye.....with this music playing in the background that is one of my most memorable moments in video games recently.

Sounds like someone took the emotional bits of LOTR's soundtrack, added a bit of Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity and squished them together so hard they made this beautiful piece. Fantastic.

Intro sort of reminds me of the Crossroad Keep theme from NwN 2 - also an Obsidian game. And the 1:50 is reminiscent of Skyrim.

The beginning of this one definitely sounds like LOTR

Played the game the end a few different ways... For me, this represents the disparate factions of the Tiers uniting against the empire with the fatebinder and all the struggle (and in a few cases tragedy) that comes from it. And I usually play the bad guy in games if given the option. Go figure that in the game where you're supposed to be the bad guy, I found the most reward in basically following the obscure "good" path.

I'll always remember this soundtrack, the sound of ascending the spire and realizing that you have the power to usurp Kyros themself.

And then having the game cut short and not actually give you the chance. Ultimate troll move by the devs.

@@blackday12341 yep. Which is why I can't stand episodic games. If they don't sell well enough, like Tyranny, then the players never get the conclusion to the story.

I return here every once in a while, after another replay, a good day, a bad one. This track hits different. One of the best. Instills feelings within me that no other game has ever managed to do. What a fantastic game.

Soundtrack was relatively short, a lot of themes were overused but, fortunately, they are really good and memorable. Regretting not buying physical edition with cd. This is my favorite game to come out this year beside Blood and Wine.
