This may sound counter-intuitive but during a suicidal depression I listened to UG, hours of him while locked up in my room isolated from everyone and he fucked me up. My feelings of absolute misery and sadness dissipated into something above despair but below joy, I felt ‘neutral’. The more I thought about my feelings the more I felt like a fraud because I was no longer depressed, suicide was an option to an array of problems sure but who can commit suicide from a neutral point of view? So I’m still here. Problems still here. I still listen to him sometimes when I struggle. He’s a monster, I don’t even think you can really understand UG while you’re still attached to an idea that’s working for you, it’s only when you hit the wall can you be receptive but it requires beating your head against that wall until they both crack. He’s not for everyone.

Great comment. Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus deals with suicide and absurdity. Great book imo. That neutral feeling. Yes. I know it exactly. UG is a gift. Taoism also helped me get to this point. To just get absorbed in the here and now. Eating, sleeping, working, playing. Repeat. Stop all this nonsense search. All the other animals get it. But we, so clever, think there must be more! And we destroy our lives in search of life! And all the pain and sorrow is just memory repeating over and over. Craving for pleasure. We even take pleasure in the pain of our memories! We love our misery and hate to give it up! We are insane! But we are told it is selfish and cruel not to care, but only the man who has given up caring can truly care. Oh the paradox! Everyone else has an agenda. Some program they want to fit you into. And they ruin you with all their "help".

Nature is always moving to advance itself to create stronger and more diverse systems in order to survive from grasslands to eventually old growth forests which would be considered the climax as is the case in the Pacific Northwest. When the old trees die the system does not revert back to the beginning. Unless man intervenes and rather harshly, through thought itself. So if we are not separate from nature, than we do the same thing. But only if thought itself is not the guiding force. Our concepts are the irregularity and our demise.

Well for me personally if I don't move my body it gets very stiff. Maybe I don't need to become a Greek god, but I definitely do need to be moving this machine or it will seize up like an old car in winter. Stretching for me is essential because I have back pain since I was a teen. What works for UG may not work for everyone. We know for example thatthis machine, the body, needs all sorts of chemicals to help it function properly. Vitamin C and D for example. The problem is the worrying and fretting. I also don't agree with his stance on cancer and healing. I believe cancer can be healed by the power of the mind. He wouldn't try heal his son because he said if he touches the cancer he will add to it?!? How? Anyway, thankfully I'm not going to burn in hell for disagreeing with him like I thought I would when I was a Christian disagreeing with Jesus. What a burden! You cannot question the nonsense in the Bible or you are a heretic. It's a great trap for the system to keep people in ignorance and fear. Only ignorance and fear keeps people in such systems. UG would tell me to go somewhere else if I didn't want to listen to him. That's why I love him. That's why I always listen to him. Lol "You want to know more and more and more. You already know a lot. You don't need to know anything more from anybody, much less from me." That hits home. There was a point in my life when I despaired that I could not know everything. In a sense I wanted to be God. And all these religious people want that too. But to accept what I am is to rest in it and be at peace with it. I find myself back st the beginning. What a tremendous waste of time and yet what else is there to do? Have babies? Work s job? It's all just humans doing human stuff.

There is action. Only in that you go against the mechanical reaction. Say that within you there is a building up of a negative emotion where you would normally reaction in a mechinal way to something, if you are able to stop that expression of that negative emotion, which is a mechanical reaction, you are acting to stop its expression. If you can do this, the energy that was going to be used and wasted in that reaction will be transformed, and you will have a moment of self-remebering if the energy was strong enough. At that moment, you will have a few seconds or a minute, where you will remember everything about that moment crystal clear for the rest of your life. This can be done...I have done it. What U G is saying is correct. But one can contain the personality and its reactions to outside stimuli. It is the hardest thing that I have done in my life.

I find it very disturbing that so many video's of UG's are edited. Cutting off after a few minutes, then cutting off again, then again. Who's idea is this? Is it ment for people with a very short span of attention? Is it supposed to mean that certain things UG says are very interesting whereas other things are more or less boring? It destroys the natural flow of the conversations completely. That makes me restless and annoys me very much. With J. Krishnamurti's videos they at least had the respect and comon sense not to do such harm to the talks. There the talks just continue, either for a short or a long while, but no annoying cutting it up to satisfy non-serious people who are just curious and want to be merely entertained. Anyway, I find these recordings of UG's speaking very interesting and would very much like to hear as many of them as possible without any stupid editings please. Thank you very much.

He also has to be thrown in the carbidge like all the rest, otherwise we have a new ‘knight of truth’, and we don’t want it at all.
