Ray Mercer knocked out the former UFC champ in his first fight, and female world champs like Holms and St John transferred very successfully. Then you have amateur level champs like Cro cop, Gustafsson, McGregor, etc, who switched to MMA instead of a pro boxing career.

When Dan fought Fedor he had to weigh in atleast 206 to make the fight official i think he weighed in 207 n i remember in an interview he said that was the most he ever weighed that fight as he rarely ever got above 200, he was probably outweighed by DC by atleast 20 pounds that night

Honestly I don’t get why you can’t knee a grounded opponent. There are plenty of other strikes that are just as dangerous, like head kicks that cause the opponent to bang against the canvas afterwards.
