I'm enjoying watching them as if they try to help by pulling away one direction as you pull in another facilitating the removal.

I'm not really a reptile sorta gal, but I love how much trust he has in you. It tells me a whole lot about the kind of person you are. When our companions trust us to do those things, and I'm trying to force a rubber bootie onto my dog's foot with my neck less than an inch from her teeth, all I can think is, "I hate these boots. She's being so good, how in the HELL, did the Hulk invent these? I can't streeeeeetch . . ." and then lots and lots of panting and profanity, but you get the idea.

Couldn't you have given him a "soak" to soften + loosen the skin, rather than pull it off? HA!! Listen to ME!! The new BEARDIE owner know it all wannabe ! 😂

My dragon is lazy and won't attempt to rub his shed off unless he's super irritated and "bashing his head into the thing" as well. My only suggestion is trying a warm damp washcloth or paper towel for the eye area and the space between the eye and nostril (super sensitive-both our dragons have the same reaction in that area-hence the suggestion)...place the damp cloth over the eye for a moment and then rub off the eye shed-works like a champ and there is no anxiety and danger of sharp tools near their "bug peepers". Stay rad.
