37s are the beasts, Deltics are fabulous and the Westerns were the ones I used to collect (clandestinely) on the Western Region commuting into Paddington in the 1970s.

I wouldn't say it was constant. Some shots were effected more than others, the clip most effected by focus search was one of my favourite bits, the Class 40. Another little minus was the audio issues on some clips, sounded like an earth issue on an external mic? Even so, this is one of my favourite diesel compilations on youtube. The network southeast 50 was a beautiful shot, nice angles. I also liked the 37 that was filmed coming out of a siding onto the main line while looking head on from above. Too many epic moments to mention. Re focus search, this can be an issue with DSLR's especially Nikons. I have a decent Panasonic videocam now but when i used my Nikon D5300 i used to get around the focusing issue(which was slow and noisy) by setting to infinity focus and avoiding zooming altogether. My Panasonic cam is a 4k job, but i never used it in 4k as the frame rate isnt upto what's achievable with a high end Camera. It's far better used in HDR mode which flattens the colour profile on the image.

I see what you mean but it's so minor that it's a bit of a nitpicking (irrelevant) grumble.

The 37 is the tiger of the tracks, in which case the deltic is the knackered old lion. Not quire sure 2 stroke was ever the sensible solution back then.

It's all relative to the era you grew up in. I appreciate Steam engines but my first love is the Blue diesels of the late 70's and early to mid 80's as i was born in 69

It was filmed at Kidderminster, but you can no longer get to this location as it is a fenced off storage area now.

It is a little worn but it had been standing idling for some time, old technology diesels actually cool down quickly when idling so when it's revved up it emits blue engine oil smoke until the tolerances on the engine close up plus it might be leaking oil past the turbo seal a little

What does CLAG mean?
@Wayne56089

BNSF Bandit it’s the smoke coming out of the exhaust. The more of it means the loco is working harder so more thrash 👍
