Muggo. Is that because you originally made a mug but then added some eyes and a moustache? :)
@moltenbolt

Hahah not a bad guess, but I decided on Muggo cuz "mug" is slang for a face, and these little critters are basically just a face :P

Thank you 😊 Well I plan to release all 3 of the parts as one long video once they're all edited and released. Perhaps I can leave the repetitious tune out of that one? I just got access to a music library I can use so I can at least switch it up. Hopefully that will work out better for you!

Fantastic tutorial, learnt so much! Question: Why didn't you get z-fighting on the eyelids/eyes when I did? kzitem.info/news/bejne/2G2m3XV_e4mHZWU
@moltenbolt
5 ай бұрын
Hmm, not sure. As long as the eyelids have been scaled to be larger, there shouldn't be any z-fighting, because they wouldn't be occupying the same space as the eyes. That's all I can think of 😬
@richochet

@@moltenbolt Ok so you have to scale them up, maybe I missed that bit, cheers

Just installed Blender 4.1. Last time I played with it for hours was maybe 14 years ago. Looking forward for more tutorials. I love how you use the blue arrows to point at things. Way more effective than looking wildly around in search of the tiny cursor.

Thank you! Yes, I remember that navigation was one of the major hurdles when I was learning Blender, so I think the arrows help a lot 😁

Deuces! Honestly, thank you for being both calm and quick with your explaining of things. While I have a much better understanding of blender, having come in at around 2.9 version, it can be very easy to get lost when someone just does something, skips to the next step without showing how they got there, then just keeps moving. I... sort of hope they either remove the new destructive auto smoothing or revert it back. They have a "replacement" for the old auto smoothing but it is now in the modifiers drop down. I think. That said, something others should know! This is a great way to make a block out for anything you're wanting to do, and aside from checking scale, which isn't that big a thing right now, this covers all the elements you should be concerned with when making something for a game, animation, or just a picture. Awesome stuff Moltenbolt!

Thanks FadePanther! I try to be as clear as possible. Sometimes when you've been bootin' around in Blender for a long time, things can become so automatic that they are overlooked, and I try to always remember what I struggled with when I was learning. I always found it helpful when the tutor clearly showed and repeated key commands, as that helped me commit keys and processes to memory. I hope those coming to this video find it helpful as well 😁
