understandable they are "buffing" the mech to be able to throw stratagems but i still being a "mech diver" would be more fun for the mech to have (some) damage buffs - more tanky then have more interactions with 1. the dog rover to work while inside the mech 2. having a sheild backpack shield gets larger as if being plugged in to the mech and the shield at least fully protects the body but maybe not the arms for balancing reasons 3. the supply backpack can refill each arm's ammo, but maybe each arm requires 2 supply boxes to fill up the ammo 4. even if its possible to climb up the mech as a team mate to ride on the roof to shoot - but make it an "official" thing to run close to the mech and have a interact button to climb up and be on the mech.

"What is the one thing you want" Revert the terrain lock with Hellpods and Stratagems. Diving on a mountain, putting sentries on a hill, and climbing up rocks and walls that we used to be able to climb over. The experience is only going to be worse when the jetpack is buffed and you cant grab onto a ledge that you feel you should

One buff/upgrade I want (aside from multiple mechs and lower cooldown for them) is there to be a ship upgrade that will drop all support weapons that have a backpack to drop with 2 packs instead of 1. I feel it will enable more of the team reloads because you don't need to wait 6+ minutes.

I belive the biggest issues with the strider, tank and turret would be fixed with better telegraphing. I personaly hate the heavy Dev the most because, for as command as they are, they should not be able to both A) suppress you with this much communism per minute. B) fluch you because their shields makes it awkward. I personaly want the heavy to be split into two units. One with the mg that pinns you down.. One with the shield that flushed you.

The tanks are very well-telegraphed imo. I don’t see the issue at all. Only turrets I think aren’t fine are the bunker and orbital cannon turrets

Lib Carbine + AMR/HMG/Quasar + Engineer Armor + Supply Pack + Gas Grenades into bugs. Crouch + lay down the closest thing to Stalwart as a primary fire for days. Spam gas grenades into every bug breach. When you need the heavy stuff you can bring out your support weapon.

I've got a solution to the "ow my knees" animation - let us roll if you press the dive button right when you land, but only if you don't have a backpack. There needs to be a benefit for not lugging around a backpack.

I think the spear still needs a bigger buff. As of right now the recoiless rifle outperforms it in almost every aspect, (being able to take out cannon turrets and chargers anywhere with 1 shot isnt signifigant enough to take it). Making the spear an objectively worse version of it. The spear needs to be able to 1 shot striders anywhere on the head, and be able to 1 shot BTs anywhere on the body. I think this change is enough to make the spear actually have a reason to be chosen over the RR. A homing missle that can take out ANYTHING in 1 shot, but has a very low ammo pool, and requires targeting to aim, forcing you at move slowly, potentially getting mauled or blicked. I could also argue that a reload reduction is also valid, but idk if that would be overkill or not.

Striders: 0. Scout (new, no front armor aka just riding some legs, give them a handgun like the commissar) 1. Standard (existing, front armor, turret only) 2. Rocket (new, front armor, standard rockets and turret) 3. Armored (new, full armor, turret only, lower the health a bit) 4. Rocket armored (existing, full armor, standard rockets and turret, lower the health a bit) Make five different variants, then mix them for each difficulty. The lower variants should always be included in the mix for higher difficulties.

They also need to make it so that the rag doll threshold is increased after diving. If you dive off a 3” tall rock, you will rag doll and that has gotten me killed so many times.

You can only hear things if you are looking at them. Stand next to a teammate on an hmg, but look where he is shooting, and you won’t hear any shots.

I think that a thing the DSS needs is to borrow some upvote/community note like mechanics for designating an MO focus planet. So that the game can have that Eravin psa style "this is the planet to be on if you want to push the MO." built in. Also make it the planet that quickplay and maybe some other mechanism will throw people to. Maybe build it into the mechanism that determines what planet the DSS is at will be. And of course, helldiver vote weight = (automaton kills + illuminate kills) / terminid kills.

“In the right hands, B Tier weapon can feel like an S Tier weapon.” So can the dookus dogpile sterilizer if you lean into the all gas loadout but it does get overshadowed by the flamethrower. Then again.. that’s why you bring the torcher so you have the best of both worlds

I started to play with Arc thrower on bots, and after that heavy devastators is no longer a thread to me or my mates. Even if they're on the corner, I'm just charging my sweet baby behind the cover, then dive out and blast 3 or 4 of them. If there are mates behind me they finishing them off. If don't - the stunlock time is pretty enough to charge another deadly shot. Also gas nades is must have for clearing patrol of those shieldy boys.

46:55 My question is why isnt the factory strider on there? It is the equivalent of 2 heavy devastators, a massive bunker turret (because of the glitch where its cannon fires 3 times) and infinite regular devastators all wrapped up in the highest health in the game. Oh and it can also shoot through walls consistently. Fix the wall bug, fix the cannon bug, reduce the health on the chin guns, make them light armor and maybe reduce total health so it dies to 1 direct impact 500. Because even if you have a med pen weapon and good aim you cant shoot the chin guns off because they will kill you in 1/2 a second Then ill stop complaining about it and have fun fighting it.

Can't speak for everywhere, but the reddit seems to be having a backlash against people trying to direct others to planets. Granted, such post do drip a lot of "Why are you people so stupid? Go here!" but there's pushback in such post, to the point of reporting them to mods as being "low effort/repetitive" with such hits as "Just let people play how they want." "Only terminally online people care about stuff like that." "If this information was really important it would be in game."

My favorite is indeed AMR into bugs. Why would you take it over AC and HMG? The AMR one shots Commanders and Hive Guards more consistently than the AC. The AC you can't fire up close, and you can't take another backpack where you can take the supply pack with the AMR and get more stims and thermite as well. The HMG requires a stationary reload and has too small a magazine. AMR has the best CQC and the best reload.

I'm in the same boat as Eravin when it comes to changes I'd like. Been a heavy diver since day 1 and currently I don't really see the point in running heavy to take like 1 more hit before dying, when I could run light and just avoid getting hit at all. Both heavy and medium could use some love, since there has been little reason to take heavy at all and medium has "Democracy Protects" and that's pretty much it

Charger behemoths should be redone as a beefier, larger and less common charger that is essentially a mobile shrieker nest. Yes that sounds wild but that would be a far more interesting change than a tankier charger

I've wondered if a secondary currency you can only get for doing MO planet missions will focus players to the right areas. I think some players are just clueless and just go to any planet. Could stick the Admiral and Ceremonial armor from HD1 in that store.

We need an enemy agression bar next to the planet name when hovering over it because i think giving the regeneration rate is too on the nose, just put a scale from 1 to 10. Also we need an enemy ratio pie chart for each mission so i know if im gonna have to deal with jumpers os spewers

I would really like to see them add a LMG primary like the stalwart was in helldivers 1 and I know this is most likely something they will never add but a a suit of heavy armor that works the same way it didn't in helldivers 1 and I feel like a dick for leaving a comment like this in pretty much every single helldivers video I watch these days

Rocket Striders, hulks, and fortresses aren't the only problem. Environmental ragdolls also aren't great. Rockets should ragdoll less, heavy cannons should ragdoll very rarely, light cannons shouldn't ragdoll but should flinch you out of aim and maybe stims, regular shots shouldn't flinch you at all. Recovery from ragdolls also needs work, stay prone after ragdoll, then make the standing up animation a bit quicker.

I wish Punisher plasma did more damage. Unloading a full charge on a rocket strider to take it out is insane. 4-7 shots on a devestator is just not right.

The major orders are more about how fast we get them. We could have had it by now if everyone followed it. To some that matters to others they are happy to wait. There is no wrong answers. It’s fun to see so many following it. But this is not work. Play what you like on the planet you like. It all good.

I think alpha commanders shouldnt be a direct upgrade to reg commanders. The reg ones should call in less enemies and be more aggressive and the alpha commanders should hang back and spawn warriors and the only time that they run at you is when they lose their head. Also they need to rework the headless bugs to have the gas confusion effect or have them charge in a straight line swinging for 10 m and then drop dead instantly and consistently

I dont reckon there’ll be anything Illuminate related, the free armor and weapon, a free warbond like the release one, the DSS Station, patch update and the gloom on bugs for a haloween event will be perfectly fine in my eyes, no need to rush the new faction.

i understand you guys like to delete rocket striders but i still think it can be reworked and "balanced" - make the rocket on its model bigger so its easier to shoot and explode it PLUS instead of shooting the rocket out instantly but have the rocket booster fire out for a second before flying out to the helldiver so you can see the rocket is about to fly out and have a second to dodge. explosion aoe lower for sure or balance what ever the rag doll speed you get thrown out i feel the front armor is higher than the normal strider and just make it equal to the normal strider so what ever gun that kills the normal strider from the front would kill the rocket strider from the front as well.

Eravin is wrong, dont revert the damage mulipliers, buff max health. That way we live longer but our limbs still break. Also make armor differences bigger. Heavy armor should last WAAAAY longer than light instead of a difference of 1 hit

The enemies added during the escalation of freedom feel rushed and uninspired ... check out the barrager tank missiles when they are fired in the air and they are arching downward. It's some of the worst animation I've seen in a video game. Also more helldiver durability is badly needed

I would like see a backpack slot option when we build out loadouts. Example you’ll be able to choose 4 stratagems. Plus a backpack slot stratagem. You could ops, airstike, sentry, flamethrower then you’ll be able to pick a jump pack for the backpack slot. For me it feels like a small negative having to use a slot for a backpack. It feels good bringing an autocannon and still being able to choose 3 more stratagems

The nerd glasses gye on the right (sorry, besides Eravin I don't know who is who) is starting to go on my nerves with him constantly winning about bots. I don't know what he has with bugs, it is routinely one of the least fun I have in this game.

He’s always hated bots. I kinda used to love bots until the rocket striders and the way they messed with tanks. If they fix rocket striders and fix tank breakpoints, they’ll be my preferred faction. The reason people like bugs is they don’t really have a lot of pervasive and annoying mechanics compared to bots. They work how they are supposed to and ragdoll significantly less. Additionally, with the huge changes to heavy bugs, there are a lot more answers to chargers, titans, and impalers that I legitimately have fun with them now. Only issue now is that difficulty 10 should have way more spawns

IMO there are to many difficulties. They should combine the tiers into 4 difficulties for better balance. 1-4, 5-7, 8-9 and keep 10 separate.

Light armor already fills its role of being faster. Heavy armor is basically useless and in some cases, medium armor too.

It's not fitting light armour to fix the other 2 broken armours. The head shot damage changes many were taking more damage across the body overall. Less spiky damage but higher consistent damage, nullifying the buffs the heavier armours. While light armour still remains the speedy goat, tanky armour doesn't tank anything and you just plod.
