@@indoorgardeningguy1668this Friday I will be receiving all my equipment for growing indoors. I will have the 48x48x80 tent. Question about root flare for my dwarf bearss lime tree that’s still in the pot. Should I have root flare yet? The tree shouldn’t be anymore than 3 years old. I dug around the trunk of tree about 3 inches and started seeing stringy roots. I stopped because I had to go to work. But I couldn’t find the root flare. So yeah, should a plant that young in a pot even have root flare yet?

@@VennGamesMoreDoBeWeirdThoLol I am not an expert on this subject, however I believe it is beneficial to expose some of the roots as the tree matures. I would not worry about this on a younger plant, but probably when you see root flare less than an inch down. Thanks 🌱

I've followed your advice over the past year and I have finally set up my grow tent. I purchased almost everything you have except for the lights. I switched to the Barria 4ft lights and that was a mistake, not enough output. New Koscheal lights are coming this week and I'm hoping for better results. Keeping a steady humidity level is also a problem that I'm working to get resolved soon as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to create these veg grow tent videos. I really appreciate your efforts.

I’m trying out something different with my potting mix. I’m doing like a 70/30 mix of black top soil dirt for a good stable root base mixed good with a Seed start that’s high in peat moss. After about 3 weeks my plants are looking good and the moister retention with the mix is to my liking.

Great channel! Have you figured out how much the electricity costs are to run your setup? I am going with a similar but smaller setup and was just curious about the cost to operate. Not that it should deter anyone from pursuing this fun and gratifying hobby, unless it’s outrageous of course. FYI the cost per kilowatt hour are 9.5 cents in my province.

Thanks for your support! Electricity costs are quite low with the LED lights. Running them for 12 hours per day. Best luck with your grow tent 🌱

Why do you need a grow tent? Wouldn't it also work to just put plants under a light in the basement?
@indoorgardeningguy1668

@@WindSwirl Thanks! Grow tents provide a reflective environment and distribute the light better to the plants. In this controlled environment, vegetables grow normally and you can also control the temperature to aid in plant development.

@@indoorgardeningguy1668 good to hear. How do choose to alternate between MH vs. HPS? I’ve been using HPS for everything this winter so far but curious how MH compares..

@@itsmeredmond Sounds great! If you are using bulbs, MH is best used for vegetative cycle of growth. So from seedling to start of fruiting cycle. HPS is for the fruiting cycle. However, I have used both at the same time and one of each in the past with good results as well. If you want, try experimenting 🌱
