@MrDaRiAn21 tax deduction. period. I appreciate her music but rich people don't just give away money. And Whitney was a spender and couldn't afford to do so even if she wanted to. She was in debt. And had been for a long time prior to dying in 2012.

@@griff404You tend to say many things without any knowledge. Whitney hosted Christmas parties for the youth in her hometown for many many years. That’s time not funds. She visited many and gave free concerts for those that was never published. Stop trying to categorize her as someone who was just rich and did things for a tax write off. Cissy spoke about that in her book and Whitney said it too that she prefers to do things when cameras isn’t around. Pat Houston even said Whitney gave away nearly all her wardrobe for battered women and other places without anyone knowing it. Many times she never asked for anything in return.

@@I-AM-BELIEVER ''tend'' as if that's a pattern of mine, how did you come up with that conclusion? you seen 2 comments of mine? She operated like any other company, any other brand does. That's how it works. I stand by what I said that rich people don't just give away money like that. I was responding to OP saying ''she helped underprivileged children'' that takes a giant sum of money. Thats why you see so many rich people claiming to have given hundreds of millions to the poor. Amazing that they do but...umm, actually. Maybe thats something you're not ready to grasp because you wanna have Whitney in this goddess category, untouchable... I'm not a believer in that. And Whitney was their meal ticket, they better say only nice things about her. Especially miss Pat.

When she talks about the evolution of her voice, of it having more depth, more soul it's funny cause I've always said that the MLIYL era is my personal favorite vocal era of Whitney (and favorite album too) for the same exact same reasons so it felt great for the first time hearing that directly from her own words. It had matured so beautifully, specially her lower notes were so much richer.

This was a really revealing interview. Whitney's depth, thoughtfulness, and wisdom are not always focused on or displayed. I didn't see moodyness or an attitude, I see a regular woman navigating the weirdness and falsity of Hollywood. She answered the question about Brandy & Monica and her image in with so much depth and intellect that you could miss it if you don't pay attention. You can also tell there was an inner conflict regarding her record label and Clive. She had SO many layers.

u gotta understand her, by 1998 this time, she only wanted love & a happy home, things were going terribly wrong in her home, Dec 1996 she suffered Another miscarriage, yet she was excited & happily expecting a baby... then 1997 became the worst year, bobby in & out of jail, he was also promiscuous, as a women it was hard to accept a man willingly offer to step out on the marriage if she could not produce another child, thankfully her career was going really well at this time her 1998 album sold over 15,000,000 copies worldwide, pretty good for someone whos been singing since 1985.....

I love Whitney, but she tried it with that her voice "had more life on it" line. No honey, the consistent overuse through touring and screaming back and forth with Bobby, smoking multiple packs of Newport cigarettes, drinking, as well as the partaking in heavy drugs is what made her voice not be what it was I'm the early 90s. I love and adore Whitney, but she reached out with that interview line.

And the french people are not so great english speaking , with that terrible accent 😅 so all of that sure did not help , on the top of everything that might be goin behind the scene, and the travelling and touring etc…. but she is trying to stay cool and nice no matter what even with her own staff pressing her. You thought France was a third world country? France literally invented the first video camera and made the first movie in the world in a city called Lyon. What you see in this video is a set up made for the day for journalists from all around the world to interview her. You can see an US interview from that same day, same sofa, same lighting. And she is in even worse mood than here. Do your research before making such comments.
