A battery and the volume on top would've been nice!

Yeah I’ve noticed my left hand is very comfortable on the volume knob on the Live 2…..crazy decisions and omissions from Akai….the rest is pretty ok tho, especially the dedicated buttons.

@mattyg499 I agree! I'd love to one day see an mpc one with a speaker, SSD, battery, and the volume knob on top. I'm sure I'm just dreaming? But it would be the ultimate stand alone (Mobile) Mpc Ever! Oh...and since I'm dreaming? Add Serato Sample and Stems to the MPC.. a Moog Much Better than the Mini D and I'm Good!

I turned on my X SE… there was no firmware update, but the Jura plugin was there in the Preferences > Plugins section for trial period. I copped it and tried it out for a bit. I’ll go over it more thoroughly overnight.

It would make no business sense for Akai to make a One+ with a battery and speaker ----- They have the Live 2. It is basic business that you cannot make money with low cost/volume products like MPC's if you do not have substantial spacing between products. It is important for us to be realistic - and not delusional. The development costs of a product are very substantial. In order to make a reaonable profit, Akai has to keep its costs in perspective. In general, the cost of electronics product development can be broken down into the following categories: Engineering: This includes the cost of hiring engineers to design the product, as well as the cost of prototyping and testing. The cost of engineering can vary depending on the complexity of the product and the experience of the engineers involved. Manufacturing: This includes the cost of the components, the cost of manufacturing the product, and the cost of tooling. The cost of manufacturing can vary depending on the volume of production, the complexity of the product, and the location of the manufacturing facility. Marketing and sales: This includes the cost of developing a marketing plan, creating marketing materials, and hiring sales representatives. The cost of marketing and sales can vary depending on the target market and the size of the company. In addition to these direct costs, there are also a number of indirect costs associated with developing and manufacturing a new electronic product. These indirect costs can include the cost of office space, equipment, and supplies, as well as the cost of employee salaries and benefits. The total cost of developing and manufacturing a new electronic product can be significant. However, the potential rewards can also be great. By carefully planning and managing the development process, companies can minimize the risks and maximize the chances of success. There is a lot involved..................

Good discussion. Jura (Juno) is the best news for me. The MPC One+ upgrade to WIFI and Bluetooth is nice if/when it works. It’s sketchy with my Key 61 and Live II. Better than updating the One over ethernet but not by much.

Unfortunately Bluetooth is only used for MIDI on the MPC. I use a $12 Amazon "Y" cable and a USB dongle to sample from my phone or iPad.

0:43 Hey what's up Sight? I will be purchasing a MPC Hat soon. Love your group on Facebook. Sorry this is long. I was planning on saving for the SE but that will take a while. I'm finally in a spot where I could have the MPC One Plus within a month. I'm not like everyone else that will complain about the small stuff I just want to get going. What I'm afraid of is having RAM issues with the new plugins like Fabric XL or Mini D. If use a heavy plugin export them to wav should I have to worry about RAM issues? I eventually want to get all of the plugins and expansion kits. I would appreciate a reply from you. Thanks for your content and what you do

I just got one of these yesterday after whining about how Akai let us down with this machine. It'll take me a year to figure it out let alone make use of every function that it has. So I should probably just shut my mouth before I'm better informed. At any rate, when I tried to log on to my account through the MPC one itself, I couldn't. I think the servers are overloaded. Any thoughts?

Most of the issues I’ve seen so far with the instruments have been because people are using a different email address than the one they used to buy instruments, or they needed to hit refresh & log out &back in on the plugin registration screen. One person actually went a month without their instruments not realizing they were signed into the wrong email. Every issue I’ve had personally was fixed by doing one of these.

I have a MPC Live ii but I order a MPC one+ to use as a sound module for an electric drum set. It’s a Yamaha with a simple drum module that has a midi out put. I don’t want to keep my live2 on the drum rig so the one+ with its smaller pads is perfect and now with WiFi I can updated it without removing it from the drum rig to connect it to the computer.
