Hey Lance. You have one of the most informative and trustworthy channels on longevity. I appreciate your efforts and candor. I would like another update on your Stem Cell Therapy. Apart from being more energetic, are there other upsides you have noticed? Also, do you think it was worth it for the results that you received? Would you do it again knowing what you know now? I ask because I am considering it but really need more actual info from people that went through it.

The HGH DHEA METFORMIN study showing age reversal got my attention. I started a hgh releasing regimen with 2 pills to release hgh plus dhea and Berberine. 5 days on and 2 days off on an empty stomach. No verification but I felt better the first day and improvements all during the 6 months. One raadfest presenter cited Thymus improvement from hgh. I liked seeing that. Thymus function seems to effect aging.

@MarcusAsaro

Similar to what Lance said, Fahy demonstrated thymus regeneration using HGH in a small group, with his original TRIIM trial. If you're curious, his peer reviewed paper, from the journal Aging Cell, is open to the public: "Reversal of epigenetic aging and immunosenescent trends in humans" It's a great read and very encouraging. Of course, I'm really excited to hear about his group's updated results in TRIIM-X. I believe they have one more cohort they need to on-board for the trial, so perhaps another two years from now we should see the TRIIM-X peer reviewed paper.

Well first off I'm not a doctor or a scientist. I'm 34 years old and since I was 18 I have read constantly about science technology, it's funny when I was a kid I didn't care for science at all and I thought if you were into science you were a nerd or a geek. But when I turned 18 I all of a sudden developed an interest in science and now I realize that science & technology are the most important thing to humanity. I'm just a huge science enthusiast. I do know there are scientists who think that umbilical cord MSCs could be a possible treatment for type 1 diabetes. I first learned about umbilical cord MSCs when Joe Rogan interviewed Mel Gibson and Dr Neil Riordan. You've seen this interview right? Dr. Neil Riordan published a book in 2017 called "Stem Cell Therapy: a Rising Tide" I think that if anyone has an interest in mesenchymal stem cells this book is a must read, seriously read this book, this book blew my mind!!! In this book there is a chapter on diabetes, you see umbilical cord MSCs one of the things they do is they modulate the immune system so umbilical cord MSCs are being looked at by scientists as a possible treatment for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. In fact a very prominent and accomplished scientist Dr. Camillo Ricordi has openly talked about using umbilical cord MSCs for treating diabetes, just Google "Camillo Ricordi diabetes mesenchymal stem cells". So I like to read about science and technology in general but in particular I've been obsessed about mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes since 2018. I'm convinced that umbilical cord MSCs and exosomes are going to revolutionize modern medicine. And I know of a few companies who are creating MSCs from induced pluripotent stem cells. Also on a side note I happen to live in Tigard. I would love to read your book and give you pointers and feedback. I don't just know about MSCs and exosomes, like I said I read about all things science and technology in general. For instance I know about the partial reprogramming that David Sinclair first popularized a few years ago, and now even Aubrey de Grey has spoken about partial reprogramming for age reversal, so it looks like partial reprogramming is a legitimate thing, there's a lot going on in longevity right now. I think in the next 10 or 20 years exosomes will be a huge thing, I think exosomes could possibly replace stem cell therapy altogether.

Sounds superficial but you did complain of muscle mass loss of 5 to 7 pounds 4 months ago and you look four months later now, noticeably leaner still. Nonetheless, you're stronger and more resilient as measured by max heart rate and weight lift capability, indicating as we all know, strength does not mean greater size cosmetically. My own laymen's thinking says, the muscle you lost may have been zombie cells, but the muscle retained became more vital. As in 10% muscle lost, but remaining muscle is operating at 133%. for a net of about 120% your original baseline (90% muscle retained X 133% increased resulting from stem cell therapy = 120%). Numbers for illustration only. It's just my speculation from observation. What do you believe?
@LanceHitchings
Жыл бұрын
Now, at a year later, I've gained back about 5 pounds of muscle mass. Actually, I was thinking the same thing, that it might have been senescent cells.

{scratching head} Do you mean your increased performance is a result of improved training capacity because of stem cell therapy but not directly related to simply having stem cell therapy? The only stem cell therapy I know of (and have had on 3 occassions) is for regenerative treatment for torn cartiledge (also with PRP injections) in both shoulders and right knee (all from bone-marrow source). They were both amazingly successful AFTER sustained physical therapy that lasted 9-15 months. That being said, I am not aware of any stem cell treatment that generates a direct influence in athleteic capability. All my athletic improvment came for prolong and consistent training that was made possible by successful PRP/Stem Cell injections WITH long-term therapy post stem-cell injections. Before stem cell therapy, my max. HR was 184 and 188 after (I am 65 yrs old -> btw, 220 - age is a worthless calculation for very active older and very young athletes). My VO2 Max. was 41/40 before and 42/41 after (bike/running) 9-12 months post PT and using 80/20 swim/bike/run training method with strength sessions to achieve increased performance. I don't know of anyone who simply had stem cell injections and improved athletic performance. Perhaps, I am missing something new about stem cell therapy or perhaps I don't understand the kind of stem cell therapy you had. It would be very intereting if you gave details about your stem cell treatments. Look forward to your videos.

I have no idea whether the sudden jump in performance is related to stem cell therapy or not. But it was a BIG jump in performance and it came outta nowhere. I did not have any stem cell injections. I had stem cell infusion. Don't know if that make any difference, but it's a hell of a coincidence.

I'm late to this party, so this question might seem really naive: Why go through stem-cell therapy when simply drinking chocolate can dramatically increase increase stem cells in the bloodstream?
@LanceHitchings

I know that a Dr. Li has published several articles referring to a study done by the University of California at San Fransisco that found that drinking hot chocolate doubles the number of circulating stem cells, but I've been unable to find the actual study. That's highly unusual, and it leads me to question the veracity of said study. If you could point me in the right direction I'd be better able to address your question. Thanks,

@@LanceHitchings Thanks for the explanation and the name of the author - it seems that Dr Li's assertions are increasingly referred to - with and without his name - among many medical advice webpages and chocolate sellers, but not by scientific institutions (at least not so far in my searches). Nunuchocolates has a lot of content in terms of health claims. For now, I will continue to look for other scientific voices who might corroborate Dr Li's research.

I've been a "cit sci" guy for 40+ years - a fan of Durk and Sandy founders of Life Extension. Also worked in regen med and trials as a serious product development hobby. So here's what I have to say - the original theory is not to inject all this $$$$$$ stem cell crap - it wasn't available to begin with - but to stimulate the body to release it. And I think I've perfected that process long ago, using the original LE formula for 3 amino acids but at 1/30 the oral dose which makes it practical, by transdermal patch. It has about the same results as what you've experienced. And better supplemented with bulk nutripceut's. I'm 68 and I'm going to restart it - but I've seen it work an immediate miracle or two in 80-somethings.. This is not to lessen the importance of specific treatments for stroke or heart attack and who knows what.
