Can you set it up so you can hear the guitar effect (chorus or whatever is chosen) while you are playing/inputting your guitar track? I like to hear the effects while I am playing, as sometimes I "play" the effect (ie delays, wahs, etc) ..or do you always have to add the effects after you input a clean guitar track?

Yes. You can monitor the effects as you are recording them, just not direct monitor.

When I go to EQ/Filter effects options mine aren't separate by AIR Music Technology and AKAI Professional. Is there something you did to create this separation?

There is a sort button at the bottom or the screen to sort by manufacturer or type.

No reflection of your ability with these devices but I still think any guitar and bass through the current Akai devices sound like dog shit. They sound like the cheap shitty multi effect pedals in the 90s before decent IR based amp simulators because the standard. Now even free amp sim VSTs are based on decent IR cab sims and sound much better. The MPC range have some amazing capabilities, but processing raw signal guitar input are not one of their strengths.

I agree that the MPC needs an amp sim. 💯 It's not going to stop me from experimenting though. 🙂
