In this video I discuss the presentation of information in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement. This video follows the last, where I briefly covered a technique of presenting colored icons in a view as a way to better characterize the values of an option set.
This video expands that conversation to include presentation using color in general. I believe that the human mind can work more efficiently if it is presented with meaningful color than it can by analyzing rows of data. I'm also one of those people who use color in spreadsheets, so I suppose I'm incorrigible.
Not everyone agrees with this concept, and I suppose some find color distracting. In any case, in this video I argue that if you are going to use color, use it consistently through your visualizations to what extent you can, since not taking the time to be consistent can result in confusion.
I also cover Power BI in this video, since in modern deployments of Microsoft Dynamics 365 there is almost always a reason to use Power BI, and now that embedding Power BI in Dynamics is so simple, there's littler reason not to make use of it.
