can you do a full tutorial on shear wave calibration on a USM Go model?

Arnold, What you are seeing there is... Since the transducer is pointed at the hole, you are also seeing bouncing reflections from the 1" radius in the back that are also bouncing off of the hole and reflecting back to you. They are the signals coming back to you at around 3" and 4" Let me know if that makes sense.

hi Joe can you be more specific about functions of damping and power in the instrument. what's differences between high and low damping and power? thank

+Thang Hoang Van The damping functions are all about how much energy you are allowing to strike the transducer. IF you have high or low damping (depending on how your machine words it) it will either allow the full amount of energy that the pulser is generating to strike the transducer or it will "dampen" the sound and decrease the amount of sound that is being created to help eliminate the amount of hash you see at the bottom of the screen.Hope that helps!

Hi Joe, Between 7:01 - 7:02 the notch seemed to (briefly) peak out at 3 in. However,at 7:25, I don't quite understand the signals I'm looking at. What can be done to separate relevant from irrelevant indications?

Yes I could, what are you looking for specifically? There are alot of sizing variations out there. DAC, 6 DB drop?? Let me know and we might be able to make that happen. Thanks Joe

Joe Clasen Hi Joe, many thanks for getting back. I would be intrested to see the 6 & 20db drop , also if possible an example of root erosion. Thanks again
