So far because of this guy I have a Frankie, a Marshal silver jube assorted high end pedals and marriage counseling invoices. I'm just glad he isn't recommending purple kool aid at this point.

This is cool Brett. Thanks for the freebie! Please make a more advanced soloing course where you create and break down some more legato types of runs (ascending and descending) and other fast hammer - pull off combos that are difficult to decode without good instruction. Love the way you break down licks on your paid courses. Thanks again 🎸👍🏼

I get a good approximation of VH1's plate using a Ventris reverb -- apparently Eddie was not a fan at all of how reverb-soaked the first 2 records were. he would have preferred a drier sound

I learned most of the song from another instructional video, but kept thinking "is this right?". Having listened to this song since the first VH album came out, I knew how it went. I started looking for other instructional videos and ran across this one. From the intro of the song, I knew this was the correct version. Brett makes it easy and fun to learn the song. Many thanks!

Been rockin your vids for years, Papa Stache. And still loving what you bring us. You're awesome, brother! This is the best tutorial on this song that I could find. Your commentary is spot-on here, regarding Edward's mastery of the guitar. And as always, your style, tone and playing are just amazing - and so are your teaching skills. Appreciate you so much, Bro! I'm gunna be working on this killer old tune.

Sounds great. I've got a couple questions about using the UA OX. Can you hook it up to a cab and an interface at the same time so i can hear myself playing through my amp cab? Also i know it doesn't have an effects loop but with any pedals going through the front of the amp like a phaser or flange with those carry through to the interface/DAW? I've been trying to figure out which one to get between an OX or the Fryette Power Station. I guess on that one the effects loop doesn't work when line out is hooked up to a interface/Daw so that kind of is why i'm asking. I know with the OX you can have reverb and delay presets. Just wondering if i can use my cab and direct record with and interface at the same time and if pedals in front of the amp will also be heard on a DAW . I think i would lean towards the OX if that is the case.
@BrettPapa
2 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yes you can monitor your cabs with the OX. Honestly the Fryette does it much better though. Yes it will carry through if you have your pedals running through your head. The OX also has fantastic effects built into it. Studio quality for sure. Both are amazing. I would say Fryette is better for live and the OX is better for the studio or at home.
