There was no one then, and there's been no one since, who even got close to this level of talent. Not only his brilliant ability at the piano, but also an amazing comedy talent, with perfect timing for every joke and aside. His performances with other top musicians and vocalists will undoubtedly stand the test of time. No matter how often you watch them, you will always end up with genuine tears of laughter. His concerts are already greatly missed, and if you have any on video, please treasure them as you will NEVER see a performer (or performances) like this again. Suffice to say, when the whole audience stand as one, and continue to applaud for an amazing length of time, you KNOW that it has been something VERY special for them. Victor was without ANY doubt, a rare and true Master of his craft. R.I.P. Victor 🙂 xxx

It's because of how you practice. Bad practice without discipline and constantly pushing yourself basically causes you to get no where at a certain point. It takes at least ten years of serious practicing, 4 hours a day to get to the advanced level and being able to play very complicated classical pieces from memory. Top piano performers have insane practice routines. They don't just mess around for a hour or so twice a week. They play 6-8 hours straight every day and practice the most difficult pieces. If you can't play something you have to sit and repeatedly attempt to play it until you finally can, no matter how painful it gets, otherwise it never happens and the older you get slows down the entire process. That is why children can learn to play advanced pieces very quickly while adults find it much more time consuming. With that said even child prodigies usually lack physical strength and finess. They usually can't actually formulate and compose extremely complicated music either even thought they can play it.
