I attended one of Bill's black belt seminars once. Bill has an outgoing personality and a fantastic sense of humor. A real people's person. He had black belts groaning in pain during his seminar. His flexibility and expertise are unmatched.

Valuable interview with Bill Wallace. We get to learn more of what went on back in the day. That he was actually afraid of getting hit. Didn't go into it like some bare knuckles brawle. That was willing to take the hits. He was methodical in his fighting. Giving new meaning to the words "Sweet science (of fighting)". The man was working with only one good leg. Even his left leg had problems but worked through that. with an acupuncturist. Became the best kicker in the world...I think to this day. There hasn't been any one close to Bill in his prime or better. Which says a lot about him and the MA community. We're no longere producing talent like Bill Wallace (Benny Urquidez, Joe Lewis RIP...etc.). I think people aren't as hungry. He had a complete understandin of body mechanics. Knew how his opponents would come at him. And he had a leg that could move any which way. And he would never telegraph his kicks. You didn't know what was coming. Then add his speed 60MPH. No one kicked that fast then or today. If any one should be a "MA Icon" it should be Wallace not Bruce Lee. Wallace was intimidating as a fighter and onscreen as a bad buy...

He kicked only with front leg and starting the kick in midair with already chambered high knee. Nobody had a chance to dodge and avoid being hit.

American black soldier in Giessen West Germany in the early 80's Virgil. I do not know his last name. He was way better than Wallace in Wallace's own style. Using 2 legs and adding Axe kick and all kicks in their flying form. He always wanted to fight Chuck Norris. One day suddenly disappeared. . DD dishonorable discharge, drugs delict.
