I’m not an American, I’m an Australian and I love the song. As someone who loves blue grass, the voices of Patti, Vince and Ricky, and their musical talent individually and collectively. I’m afraid there are just ignorant people in the world, they just need to be ignored. Long live the memory of Ralph Stanley and his contribution to blue grass.

I was born in America and served during VietNam. I am now retired to the southern coast of S. Africa along the warm Indian Ocean. I cannot begin to tell you how many restaurants that have a live band which doesn't play American Country/Western. It keeps a bit of home in my heart what I being 1/2 day across the world and 1/2 way down. Good Music cuts through anything placed it's way!

This song could have been written for my son who died at the age of 27. Ryan loved country music especially Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, and "Trishie" as he called Trisha Yearwood. Ryan had a beautiful voice and I can picture him singing his heart out in heaven. This song comforts me and I thank Vince for writing it. We saw Vince play a few times at Westbury Music Fair, a small venue on Long Island, NY. Vince always came out the back door to greet the few fans that hung out waiting for him an hour or so after the show. It was obvious Ryan was handicapped and I told Vince this song was comforting to me. The last thing Vince said to us as we walked away, "Hey Ryan, take good care of your daddy." I have a picture with Ryan and Vince and will always cherish this memory.

We saw Vice play at the Westbury Music Fair ten years ago and it was the beginning of my wife’s love for country music. She said as we left I didn’t know one of those songs but liked them all. Seen him a few times since. Good man.

My only child, Tyler, is struggling to fight and stay with me. He has phemenonia and covid. 20 years old. He's loosing his fight unfortunately. My only child is knocking on death's door. I will forever dedicate this song to him. I'm sure he's tired after fighting 2 weeks on a ventilator, at his worst. I hope he can make it through this, but it's looking like he will not. He's maxed out on everything his hospital can offer to help treat. He just keeps declining. No more hope for my boy, except for several miracles from God. I will forever dedicate the song to my son. Music is had a massive impact in my life. And since I've been going through this with my son and he's been intubated and on the ventilator, music has not helped give me peace. And music has always been my number one go to to get through everything. Until now
