Thanks friend. I've just done this repair on a Panasonic branded Vestel 32 using your video as a guide. Still a good TV; glad to keep it going.

On occasion the faulty backlights take out the led driver on the power supply , replace the whole power supply and all should be good. These should be on eBay. Just type in your tv model number

Hi I found a 32" smart TV Digihome with vestel boards waiting to be collected by the scrap man I am trying to repair it I dont have a remote I tested backlights individually with my multimeter all lit but one I shorted this one led as it was open, put back together they all light but very dim. Bought another power supply from ebay still the same. Can you tell me are these 3v white or warm white will the board shut down because of the shorted led I saw someone else short out just one led and the tv worked I dont want to spend a lot of money needlessly as its just a hobby in my retirement years, many thanks for the videos very enlightening.

Hi John. Even though you have tested the Leds individuals and they showed signs of life from a multimeter does not mean they are 100%. I’m guessing one of those is still shorted. If you’ve tried another power supply and that’s the same then definitely one of those strips or connections is faulty.

What are you using to test the LED circuit? Since you tested one strip at a time, then you tested both strips together. I would assume that 27.5 - 35V should cover each strip, but for both, you would need to double this number 55V ++. What system or tool do you use here? Thanks

A led tester can test between 1v dc and 300v dc. They are readily available on eBay etc.

@@allenfleckney5969 Suggestion: Possibly it would be good if you make a video on that item. Displaying its make, model, how it works, how to use it etc...
