The reason for longer term limits is that it's thought to reduce the threat of populism. If Supreme Court only had its seat for 2 years, those individuals might succumb to the ideology of the day rather than to uphold the constitution. Term limits are a thing, but the bigger issue in my opinion is citizens united. Which basically makes it legal for special interests to bribe politicians.
@mojomanmurph1925

He was also referring to term limits for the upper directors of all these government agencies. That is what makes up most of the "swamp". They are not elected, they are basically in there jobs for decades if not life. All these people leading the government behind the scenes are mostly from the same area, they grew up together, went to school and university together, went to church with each other, attend gathers together, families know families for a long time. If you aren't part of that group, then you don't matter. This other noise we constantly hear about is smoke and mirrors tactic to divert your attention from them. Politicians are puppets. The swamp are the ones in control without oversight controlling the puppets.

If Trump is the clear front runner still when it gets time to hold debates and he says no then there is no way that the GOP is going to allow any official debates to occur without Trump. Period. End of story. The other candidates might want to hold unofficial debates but I guarantee you the GOP would do everything in their power to prevent it. They are not going to chance angering Trump or his base by allowing it. But that's if Trump is still the front runner when it comes time to hold debates. He very well may not be especially with Georgia on the horizon. The GOP has to play this very carefully because if they anger Trump and make him feel like he's been thrown under the bus then he will run as a 3rd party candidate. You're kidding right? Half of the guys don't even seem to know what they are talking about let alone struggling with vocabularies we all seem to already know. Keep in mind these guys are "college educated", now I won't assume all of them are but even then...I can't tell if they are at the community level or state or university. Yes, the gentleman on the right with the glasses seem to be the most well rounded, followed by the other red shirt followed by the gentleman in the white tee and the two are about the same in their understanding of things. I'm basically within and/or the same generation as these guys and I clearly understood the words being conveyed by Vivek. Keep in mind, they aren't necessarily picking deep topics they are just really going for views like many KZitemrs out there but the difference is that they basically go through everything from South Park to presidential candidate.

This is the candidate we need. He was articulate even when the “journalist”, kept changing his words. Trying to make Vivek sound like he was alienating someone when he clearly knows what he is talking about. This is why the country needs someone like him!

Second time hearing Vivek speak. He's articulate, and makes sense on a lot of issues. Good to see this. Good leadership qualities. I think the group appreciated a lot of his views.

They tried to cherry pick Ramaswamys words at the beginning by posting his words in quotes. They want to demonize him with keywords and make him explain what he meant when they know damn well what he meant. They're hoping he'll contradict himself and they'll use it against him later. Ramaswamy is to smart for their bullsh#t.

You guys should watch Chloe Cole. She started transitioning before 18. She said her parents were told that if you do not transition your daughter, you might have a dead daughter. Any parent who has a doctor tells you that might just give in. I typed this and then the interviewer proved my point. They're emotionally blackmailing parents with that line.

I used to be a flight attendant and during that phase a friend of mine, which I believe way more deserving than me couldn't do the job because he got a tattoo on his arm and THAT WAS REGRETFUL TO HIM, and he still regrets it, unfortunately!! So I understand Vivek who so ever he is.. HE'S MAKING SENSE here !!
