About a month ago I went on a keto diet. Lost 20 lbs in one month, but my face broke out really bad. Just meat and veggies and nuts and I figured my body was getting rid of all the bad stuff I was eating. Thankfully just this past week my face and chest cleared up. Don't get rid of any clothes yet. I was putting on different clothing and they were just too loose to wear. Good thing I kept a lot of my smaller clothes. I tried on everything and had to get rid of more than half of my clothes and some of them I kept are questionable. I did go shopping at an outlet mall where 4th of July sales were happening last week. They had an extra 50% off clearance. Here there are no items on the street and the thrift stores do not have anything. Good luck with your weight loss.

Great video Kate! Sourdough is so easy! Those recipes that say to discard…. No just No! I lived in Alaska while my husband was in the military. Here is an Easy Peasy recipe for Sourdough Starter. 1 Pkg. Yeast 2 Tbles. Sugar 2 C flour 2 1/2 C warm water… not boiling! Mix with a Wooden Spoon making sure all the lumps of flour is out! Mix it to a smooth batter and leave Covered for 3 days in a warm place with no drafts! For cover I use a coffee filter or a paper towel/ napkin. Leave it be for 3 days Then look for bubbles After 3 days you can use your starter, but it is better to wait a few more days. Toss in extra “Furl” for the sourdough to work on-- A spoonful of Sugar along with a couple spoonfuls of flour, add water it batter is too thick, Mix well. Cover. Put back in warm to work more. After 1 Week starter is now effervescing with millions of bubbles. Should look like sour cream-- and smell like sour cream, but is rich luscious Sourdough! You also can make sourdough Stater with boiled potatoes which is the best ever in my opinion. Remember to always FEED your sourdough when you take out a cup or two with flour , and water. The sugar doesn’t make the sourdough Sweet, it makes the sourdough to be somewhat Brown. I’ve never heard of using Honey, I don’t think the old Timers Sourdoughs! I have an old Redwing cookie jar with a lid and that is what my sourdough is in. My sourdough is still going strong when I made it back in 1986! There are sourdough Starters known to be 100’s of year old. Best of wishes to anyone who uses my recipe! 🌻🤎🌻🤎🌻🤎

Hi Kate! I loved your wardrobe tour. Those longer blouses, I would just wear a white tank top underneath and pair them with your leggings. That's basically what I do. We dress really similarly. I do have lots of black and grey for the winter but about 15 years ago I got a vibrant, purple raincoat from target. It's lasted all these years and adds a punch of color to my wardrobe. I also found a primary green, short jacket at Goodwill about 9 years ago that I alternate for color. I don't really go out anymore and love being home, in my hidey hole like you but sometimes I have to go to target, meet with friends but it's a no spend or take my dad to the doctor's. I feel like with those few items, along with leggings, jeggings, solid colored T-shirts & some chunky, statement necklaces, can makes my outfit. I rarely wear the jewelry but when I do, I feel like a million bucks. All were garage sale or Goodwill finds but for $2 or $3. I haven't spent a dime recently but I'm needing more capri leggings for the summer from Walmart. I get the juniors size in xl, in a two pack by the name of No Boundaries and they work great! The other thing I was thinking for your kid's lunch, make focaccia bread pizza and hummus with some veggies? I don't think kids will turn down pizza generally speaking and it's a fun food. I know Tofurky can get pricey. I think you have a lovely wardrobe for the cruise! I can't wait for you all to get to enjoy it! ❤️

In response to “what comes first, mental illness or drugs,”…having worked at a state mental health facility, I can tell you that the majority of clients who were assigned case managers, were people who had degrees, were very intelligent and then burned their brains up on drugs. Every now and then we might see someone with a mental issue from natural causes, but that was rare.

We moved to our happy place after the kids were mostly on their own. One was still in college. Then. the two oldest got married and started having kids. They’re 400 and 1200 miles away. In the meantime, our town, which was a small tourist town, started growing by leaps and bounds. We hate summer when everyone starts coming to town. When we leave, to visit those wayward kids and grands, it’s nerve wracking to hit the highway and go 75 mph. I’d like to move but talking is not doing. The Mr. kind of drags his feet. He’s made more of a new life than i have although i’m always busy. Time is running out so we need to figure this out sooner rather than later. You never know how your life will take a turn. (I threaten to move in with our unmarried son and live in his basement. 😅)
