Yeah another good watch, I have a t5 and have just started doing work onit, had a glow plug snap so had the bumper , intercooler, radiator off using my Haynes Manuel had a brilliant guy come from Newcastle to extract the plug, and I live in Doncaster, was very reasonable in price, then I fitted a new inter cooler and bolted back together, live all the t5 content your helping a lot of people out who do t have thousands to splash out on labour for every job going although I’d be nervous as hell resting the engine hydraulic pump, but I can’t see another way to do it, you the man , much appreciated, I’m gunna look to see if you got a video on changing the callipers, pads and disks Take care

i was taught when replace suspension components to torque them up either simulating full load with a jack under the arm or my since go to method get them hand tight wheels on drop it on the floor or drop it on to drive up car ramps then do your final torque to spec . tightening well if that makes sence not sure if thats how you had said sometimes vocal instruction gets lost in translation with me was a pretty brisk clutch swap all in all

Hi Nath, love your vids and what your doing. How do you find the van drives after removing subframe? Ive been told to get wheel alignment done as i didnt use the kit before taking it off and to renew the subframe bolts. Would you agree or disagree? Keep up the good work 🤙
@YTDTETV
Ай бұрын
Hi Adam thank you mate appreciate that 🙏 so it is a good idea to have the tracking done as I didn’t use the tools either but I spent abit of time trying to line it up and the steering is ever so slightly turned to the left. The bolts on the subframe are really large so I don’t think it’s necessary to replace them 👍 hope that helps.

Having ago at doing my clutch on my mk5 gttdi in the next couple weeks , buying a sachs 3 piece kit from darlside for £420 , do you have to drain the gear oil , being my first time I'm just gonna use the whole weekend and take my time , enjoyed the long video though dude 👌💯
@YTDTETV
Ай бұрын
Hey bud they are even easier on a golf no subframe in the way so I’m sure you’ll be ok 👍 nope no need to drain the oil just undo the spline bolts on the inner cv joint and the cups stay in the gearbox holding the oil in 👍

I’m about to drop mine this week, got an oil leak which is causing the clutch to slip. I’m thinking it’s the rear main seal, but will find out once it’s apart…mines a 2.0 so not sure how different it’ll be to yours. Not looking forward to it though loll
