I have a Tacx neo 2t with motion plates, which I love. However I am considering changing to the Kickr move. I would like to be able to use virtual shifting and it doesn’t look like Garmin are going to be introducing this feature. Also I like the idea of the Kickr climb to make it all more immersive. BUT it’s a lot of money to spend considering I’m already very happy with the Tacx. If Garmin would just hurry up and give us virtual shifting I’d stay with the Tacx!

@@ianhofstetter7446 yeah chances of Garmin adding virtual shifting is super slim imo. Virtual shifting is definitely a nice feature. If you don’t mind losing road feel I think you’ll love the Kickr Move.

how do you find the build quality of the kickr compared to the tacx?

Both are very sturdy and should last a really long time. I have over 15k miles on my Neo and everything works as new. The Move is built almost completely with metal whereas the Tacx has a lot more plastic. Let me know if you have any other questions!

@@ZRaceCentral Sounds great. The plasticy feel of tacx is familiar and why I am considering Kickr Move now. It also looks like it is much easier to fit bikes on the Kickr due to more room. I know the tacx has issues with some bikes in terms of calipers and derailleaurs. With the Kickr I would guess that's a non existing problem?

@@eskility I’ve actually heard from someone who has 105 di2 who has issues with the rear derailleur hitting the Move. I was using older ultrgra di2 and didn’t have any issues.

@@ZRaceCentral Oh, that's not good. I guess v6 is safer then..

@@ZRaceCentral cause it won't rub on the v6, right? It is the bigger mid section the DI2 rub on?
