Old Delhi, Delhi, India | 2022: We start the video at one of the roads - Minto Road - radiating from the grand Central Delhi location of Connaught Place. Minto Road runs roughly north from Connaught Place, connecting the New Delhi build by the British to the Old Delhi or Purani Dilli built by the Mughal ruler Shahjahan. In fact where Minto Road ends in the north is where Shahjanabad begins just as where Minto Road ends in the south is where Connaught Place of New Delhi begins.
Shahjahabad is another historical name for the Old City of Delhi, named after the ruler who had the city built. Old Delhi or Purani Dilli is also called Chandni Chowk. Minto Road meets Asaf Ali Road just at the south of Old Delhi, which is famously also called Chandni Chowk. On Asaf Ali Road we take the left turn and keep walking left until we reach Ajmeri Gate, one of the fourteen gates in this walled city of Shahjahanabad.
From Ajmeri Gate we go straight and explore that neighborhood of Old Delhi which is eponymously called Ajmeri Gate. We walk along some very interesting lanes and bylanes of Ajmeri Gate to finally reach the Sitaram Bazar neighborhood of Old Delhi. Sitaram Bazar is also where we take a short break to grab the famous Delhi breakfast of Kachori at one of the famous shops in the region.
After the Kachori we keep walking around a little more in the Sitaram Bazar neighborhood of Old Delhi. This is also where the video ends.
