@AndyTheXTech
Жыл бұрын
Your welcome. I don’t remember doing anything different than normal with the coolant. Fill it up run it for about 15 minutes. Watching to make sure it doesn’t over heat. Hold the rpm up about 1500-2000 for a couple minutes if you want to. If you’re still struggling, you can try this with the cap off. Or worst-case use an air lift system. It puts a vacuum on the engine, and then Sucks in the Coolant.

A TSB shows to lift front of vehicle and run engine to purge the air from the system. I guess you could park it on an incline, like a driveway, and run the engine. tSb# 01-19-01TT

The water pump on our 2018 failed around 60k and again at 72k. Due to coolant spray, the first time they also replace the valve cover gaskets and ignition coil, and the second time it happened they had to also replace the compressor and alternator.. All was covered under warranty, THANK GOODNESS. I hope like hell that the second replacement was an improved/updated part - I don't want to go through that again! Great video BTW!

@@AndyTheXTech Thanks! Yeah, I hope that part is done, but a couple days ago we ran into a different issue LOL. Out of nowhere it went into EPC limp mode. CEL flashing or steady, rough idle, strong smell of raw fuel in crankcase and inside cabin. My first thought was fuel pressure sensor, fuel pump, injector or something of the like. Frustrating!

Looks like you put the belt back on the wrong side of the tensioner. Its a smooth tensioner pulley so I would think the smooth side of the belt should be riding on it. Am I wrong?

I just did this service and I had the same question. My belt was 'over' the pulley when I took it off but it had been rubbing on the bolt above. It looks like he was pointing to the same issue. He did it the way the VW diagrams show it should be. I think he is correct. Does seem odd to have the smooth pulley on the grooved side of he belt

True. I don’t know why. Some vehicles have plastic parts and there’s updated metal ones aftermarket. I don’t trust them. Your going to end up with a bigger problem.
