Really a shame Waylon was not as appreciated when he was alive as much as he is now in 2022. But we are listening and appreciating him, and his voice. I can only pray that now he knows how much his words and music made impact on so many lives and hearts.. We all can pick a Waylon song that makes a huge memory. Brings tears or giggles. Waylon could do both. Rip Hoss.. Never will be that beautiful voice be heard outside of heaven.

Wow! My first time listening to this song. I love it, and that is how I feel now about it. Ain't that the truth? That is what bothers me the most that he's not telling me the truth, despite of everything else. A lie will always be uncovered, even if you don't say it, but it shows. actions will say it all... Now this song will be on my juke box.

Another great song that shows the depth, the tone, the inflection, the soul and the immense talent that seemed to flow so naturally from his heart. I am a 49 year old straight man so when I saw that Waylon is beautiful I mean it in the most pure kind of way. A tall handsome manly man that most of could only wish to be. Not to mention wish to have that unique, one of a kind talent. Rock on Waylon 'cause I know that even death can't quiet the best Certainly not on this Earth.

Kelly, Beautiful words, and so true in every way. I was honored to meet and spend about 1/2 hour with Waylon and his wife, Jessi Colter, in 1985. They were playing at a Country Music Festival where I lived at the time. Waylon and Jessi performed there every year. The local fire department helped out with security for the some of the stars. My husband, who was a Lieutenant on the fire department at the time, had gotten to know Waylon quite well over the years. He told Waylon that I was his biggest fan, and asked if he could take some time out of his busy schedule to meet with me. This was shortly after Waylon had quit his cocaine addiction “cold turkey”, and he looked so healthy. You are right in saying that Waylon was a tall, handsome man - and much taller than I expected. He was also a beautiful man, inside and out. We only had two chairs, so Jessi sat on Waylon’s lap throughout our “chat”, and Waylon kept his arm around her the entire time. You could tell that he just absolutely cherished her. When we parted, Waylon gave me a hug and kissed my cheek. I told my husband that I was never going to wash that cheek again. After my marriage and the birth of our two children, meeting Waylon was definitely the best day of my life!

What he could convey in his tone and pitch of a song was mind blowing from one slight gravel at the beginning of a note to another he grabs at your soul.

Yeah he does but yall forget to mention that its Moon's streel that intensifies Waylons voice and emotions. Moon could almost replicate Waylon with that moan on the steel

It really bothered me when my x came back to the mountains to pick up her furniture and stuff, she wanted to rush into my arms but I turned and said, I'll be in the house, they were in the office I built for her which really cost about $40,000 to build. She tried to make it like her disappearing act was no big deal. Liars bother me and she deceived me and lied to me for so long.

@@grizzlyadamsmith6038 think his story is reflecting the words Waylon is singing. The fact that his wife walked out on him, then waltzed back in like it was no big deal. Think she expected him to welcome her back, but he turned and walked away. In the words of the song. It bothered him more than it bothered her.
