These house updates are inspirational. I've been wanting to move to PH for a couple of years and potentially build a home there. Seeing you live the dream means I can hopefully follow in your footsteps and take your advice. Also, the ingenuity of how you made those weights with the buckets put a huge smile on my face, I would never have thought of that and the gym looks amazing. I wouldn't have known you'd built those handles and bars yourself either if you hadn't have said. I work in software engineering, and wish I had more knowledge of physical engineering and construction skills. Congrats mate, you're doing an incredible job. And thanks for sharing the journey with us and being so honest, transparent and genuine. 🙏

Cory & Raquel, you have such a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing your videos. Your channel is awesome. Everyone watching your videos will gain a wealth of knowledge from you both. It is awesome that you both take the time and put in so much effort to be precise and so on point regarding the Philippines. Your newly built home is fantastic, you put a lot of thought into it. I love the gym you built, your kitchen is awesome, and your swimming pool is invigorating. BTW, thank you for inviting us to your beautiful home for a BBQ, you were a great cook, Cory, just remember to remove the wrappings from the weiners in the future. I hope that you will come to visit us in the Cavite area someday. Mucho Blessings my dear friends, Jemma says hello to you both.

Pretty looking weights…that sounds like a western thing. LOL. That dog will hunt. Don’t sweat it brother, it’s an awesome gym and the views are magnificent. 😉 I love the pool too. Great job so far, can’t wait to see things mostly completed.

I love watching your home project videos! Really inspiring! You are a hard worker dude. And I think those homemade concrete weights are just things of beauty. Next time get your kids to put their hand prints in the concrete. I did that with some concrete projects at my home years ago with my kids. Great memories! They are adults now. I inspect homes for a living and not long ago I was contacted by a realtor to inspect a house. Turns out it was the house I lived in when I was about 5 years old. As I was going around the home doing my inspection I saw my own hand prints in the concrete porch! It was a special moment just thinking back to that moment when my dad had me press my tiny hand into the concrete, and there it was decades later.

I see a lot of house in provinces of PH don’t have sanitized water line, nor the sewerage line to the sewerage plant. Basically no infrastructure for building a modern house

Drilled well for water and septic system for waste is not considered modern? Interesting….. Those are two items that are only in city housing location. I’m originally from the United States and was born and raised in Maine. I never once had a House or even saw a House that had a Town waterline or sewage line. Because the houses were so far apart it would never make sense to build that. I’ve had my own drilled wells and septic systems my entire life. I do not believe that has anything to do with being modern or not.

Important question. In the Philippines as an American you're not legally allowed to own land so who is your title vested on the deed ? Is the house only in Raquels name ?

My question is I need a list of the things you would recommend that I ship from the US or bring with me from the US when I start my venture there I know we have to be careful because the shipping cost of the product getting there has another cost to get it delivered where I want it

CORY, you are ridiculously handy...love the gym fencing ..and wow custom cut 1/2 inch thick glass is cheap..that would be hundreds for 1 piece in Calif.
