Its funny cause the founder of Scientology has many quotes from his interviews cause he was a sci-fi book writer and one of his most well known ones is “You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion.” and shortly after that quote he founded said religion. Really easy to look up nowadays and its amusing to say the least.

My colleague at work (he's 60, and a massive bicycle nerd) has a Brompton, he told me about it and apparently what makes it "special" is that the technology behind folding the bike is actually patented, so no other bike company can legally copy the design. Apparently the company behind it is also really good and trustworthy.

For some people, going on vacation in Japan (or anywhere abroad, really) is still a privilege and can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and they want to experience all there is to experience. I still hate guided tours, because there's zero freedom in there, but aimlessly going on a vacation is also as bad... If people ask me "where did you go in X, what did you experience in X, did you see Y in X?" and my answer is "I just meandered, didnt encounter anything" then I'd see that vacation as a waste of time Not to mention even if someone has the means to take a vacation abroad, some doesnt like to visit a country they've visited, and would rather visit a new country instead

Yeah, I think so too. That’s why I hate whenever someone asks. It just teaches you to lie constantly. Though it is probably more acceptable in America. Like some ppl do want to know. Especially if it’s someone you know. Or are on familiar terms with. Service workers though 😬 it’s just their job.

That happened to me when I was sitting using the wifi for more than 3 hours at A & W, and the supervisor came up and asked me, "Are you okay?" in a gentle tone. I answered, "I am fine.". She immediately switched the tone and confronted me for overstaying the restaurant for too long. I felt not happy about being treated that way. It's not just "Are you okay?" question, the "How are you?" is the worst to ask me because nobody is interested in what I am currently feeling nor how I've been doing today. No, they expected me to lie the positiveness, and would always say, "I am good.". It's not about asking me in a professional meeting. Everyone can casually ask me when meeting me. When someone asks me so, I immediately get angry inside. I hate being asked the How are you? question.

It also gets used for other bathroom-related disposable things too, or really just any non-recyclable trash we might _happen_ to have while in the bathroom. We usually have the type that lets you open it with your foot on a "pedal". As for amount of wet wipes, I personally use between 3 and 10 depending on how much I need to clean away. Usually 3-5 is enough. Idk how this could not be "enough" when I've literally _never in my life_ experienced streaks in my underwear that I've heard people mention. @@Pekara121 Wet wipes are handy to have for a variety of other uses too, you know. We just place them next to the toilet since that's where they're used the most. At least me personally, I would have to wipe, then go to wash away the stuff from my hand, then wipe once more, then wash it away, etc. for however long until it's gone (otherwise you'd be rubbing shit-water all over your cheeks lol). There's also how wet wipes don't just have water, but also some sort of soap-like substance in them. Then, there's probably the biggest thing to consider: They're just not that expensive. I think connor further solidifies why he's able to make hot takes and not get shit on in this episode (as opposed to the bocchi fiasco with joey last episode) with the fact that he is constantly trying to understand why people think/feel/do certain things at it's core, even if he doesn't understand or even disagrees with it. It makes him feel lot more genuine and understanding, so when it comes to a less serious in subject hot take, people don't rage as much.

My two cents is that people get frustrated at Joey because he's *lazy* when it comes to articulating his points. Most of the time he just asserts a point without giving reasons or explaining how he came to that conclusion. If somebody makes a point without reasons, then there's not much to discuss and you're not contributing much to the conversation. Perhaps because of this maybe Garnt or Connor should, in respectful way, push Joey to justify his points by simply asking him what do you mean by that and other questions to get him to be less lazy in giving vague, brief points.

@@kairos_fluentits also how he will confidently make inaccurate statements, a good example coming directly from this episode when they were discussing creationism. Joey mentioned how easily it can be disproven through science by carbon dating things like dinosaur bones… yet you can’t carbon date dinosaur bones. Carbon dating is only accurate up to about 60k years where the measuring of its half life just becomes way to inaccurate, and the last dinosaurs were around 66 million years ago.

@@pokehero77the weirdest thing is calling over 4 billion people "creationists" and apparently Connor and Joey are Christians? Or at least their families are. I don't know about Christians (or Jews) cause they've been neglecting the Bible for some centuries anyway but I do know that there is approximately 2 billion Muslims and Darwins theory does not fit into these peoples beliefs. What makes it funnier is that he's alluding to science but I wonder if he knows that the scientific method was invented by a pious Muslim? Or that sciences have grown exponentially during the so called Islamic golden age. You know the time where Romans decided to establish the Arabic number system we use today? Also I got zero clue what he was on about with the dinosaurs 😂 what does that have to do with Darwins theory of any evolution theory for that matter? From a Muslim perspective we don't deny the existence of dinosaurs. God creates animals and he can also decide to make them go extinct. But hey sure I bet the guy who likes to jerk it to lolis will know science and theology 😂

Joey, I can’t overemphasize the utility of a beard apron, man. It’s like a barber’s apron when you get a haircut, but it has suction cups on the bottom so you can hook it to the mirror. No more wasted paper towels! Great episode, as always! My wife and I definitely enjoyed it.
