Great story!!! I loved how Jerry left his "translator/computer/communicator (?)" behind so he could keep in touch with his new friend. Reminds me of a Star Trek episode where McCoy left behind a communicator. The communicator had technology that was the basis of most of the Star Trek universe's tools/machines. It would allow the "aliens" to advance their technology by centuries. LOL!!!

I love this! Looks like Jerry has decided to stick with his new centaur friend, mischievous little imp. I wonder if he will cause the humans to keep a closer eye on this other galaxy. Definitively not gonna be easy to keep Jerry away, his parents are probably going to sigh and let him be with Demblin a bit to hopefully quell his curiosity. I get the distinct impression that the humans of this story are gathering materials and energy from portions of the multiverse that there isn't life due to slight differences in the fundamental forces making life impossible to experiment and craft weapons with. Like every human has access to infinite matter and energy nowadays and they've all agreed on where the fight is to take place (vaguely milky way and nearby intergalactic void in their original universe).
@ArchonSG1
Жыл бұрын
@@donanthebarbarian5177 More like they had an inter-galactic war in the Milky Way and Humans have for whatever reasons, erradicated all life there other than humans an in their shame, have opted to save those who they can, and stay in the Milkway to continue to fight amongst themselves, since we humans know that we will as the wheel of time turns, come back to the same spot, doing the same thing, killing each other and anything that gets in our way. Choosing to say in a dead galaxy is one way to limit the damage we do. The other races that we see are those who they have tried to save, remnants from the Milky Way and have "uplifted" only to the point of them being able to survive on their own, minus external threats. The fact that an automated mining swarm was found in that Galaxy was a surprise and one they will correct, then leaving that Galaxy without human influence. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, Jerry has other ideas.

It incorporated the moon and probably all the interior planets as they orbited into it. Shoot, for that matter, assuming it hasn't moved its center from earth's orbit, it extends past the sun, so somewhere in the City you can step open a door and find yourself face to face with the sun. For a split second, at least 😂
