The model of this locomotive ChME3 from ROCO looks impressive even in stock condition, so there is nothing to add. But, without weathering and paint aging, the model looks like a toy.
This is my first time using the color modulation technique to paint a model of a locomotive. Usually, it is used to simulate shadows on models of military equipment, but it is very difficult to find it in civilian versions.
I muffle the modulation effect with a layer of oil paint, which acts as a wash, oil dots and a filter. Three in one - and nothing else! Fast, high quality and realistic!
What came of it ... already in this video.
