To close out the Crustacean Task Force Webinar series, experts across a diverse spectrum of fisheries research presented the work completed under the Crustacean Task Force umbrella. These research topics have been designed to resolve priority needs for improving science and management of crustacean fisheries across task force member countries. They described best approaches for advancing management of crustacean fisheries across manifold fishery, management, and social boundaries.
Speakers:
Dr. Kristin Kleisner: Environmental Defense Fund and Dr. Yong Chen: Stony Brook University - Implications of Crustacean Task Force research outputs
(Moderator) Nathan Willse: Stony Brook University - An international analysis of biological reference points for crustacean fisheries management
Claire Ober: Stony Brook University - Application of performance indicators to the management of international crustacean fisheries
Harlisa: Environmental Defense Fund - Challenges and opportunities for improving assessments in support of data-limited crustacean fisheries management
