There are book tubers who have led me to buy books. Books that just sit there on shelves. You, my brother, have a hot for reading that makes me want to read. 😊 cheers mate!

Long legs was great! I highly recommend the horror movie Oddity. It had a small release in theaters and will be on Shudder eventually. It scared me much more than long legs, but I hadn’t heard anything about the movie!

That's nice. The Body was my favorite novella from him (Stand By Me has always been my favorite movie adaptation of King). And 'Salem's Lot had good aspects to it, though the book was a bit plodding at times ( and there's two short stories that go with it, a prequel called Jerusalem Lot and sequel called One For The Road). My personal fav's are Revival and Joyland. And I'm currently in the middle of Duma Key and Under the Dome.

Hello, I just started watching your channel for new books to read as I am new to reading consistently. I just finished two books recently I have really enjoyed and they are two of my Favourites. The two books are very similar, both being about a child’s life and living through civil wars in Africa. Both are nonfiction and true stories. One of them is “a long way gone” by Ishmael Bea who was a child abducted and forced into the civil war and then getting to America, and the second is “call me American” by Abdi Iftan who was a child running and avoiding war and finding a way to America. These two stories will draw you in and wonder what happens next in their lives. I loved these two books because they both told an amazing story, but it was all true and told me what life was like in other places in the world. I would think you would enjoy these books, and great videos, keep up the good work.

I actually just snagged Hard Rain Falling from my local B&N, didn't expect to find it there when it wasn't even easy to find a reasonable price online. Just finished Butcher's Crossing by John Williams and excited to read Stoner. I'm going to be buying more from that collection. They pick great books and the books are just very well made, good paper, quality printing.

The original Greek pronunciation of Circe makes the C's into K sounds. Phonetically it would be "Keer-Key'. In English it's phonetically "Sir-see".

I think anyone who loves Grapes of Wrath (one of my favourite novels) should look into Sanora Babb. Her book Whose Names are Unkown was not published until 2004 despite having been written contemporaneously with Steinbeck's. It was thought that two novels dealing with the Dust Bowl farmers during the time of the Great Depression was not market friendly. Love your channel!

Read a few books this weekend, Of Mice and Men was one of them. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it (I haven’t read any other Steinbecks) but turned out I loved it! And sobbed my heart out. But I also read High Fidelity that you recommended, I remember the movie with John Cusack and how American it was, not realising it was actually a British book. (I loved the movie) I really enjoyed the book though, a lot of British references which was great and nostalgic for me and I could totally see why they picked Cusack as the main guy, I still pictured him as I read as well. He just has that self deprecating, nervousness about everything he does which is perfect. Also, Jack Black was a perfect choice. There’s that one part where it says Barry has a devilish grin? Totally Jack Black visions lol Also, I’m one of those brits that can’t find Hard Rain Falling! I’m on the hunt though! 😊
