Honestly people would watch cleaning, you could show some how to clean properly and well. I enjoy seeing the cleanliness, like cleaning the tops of the kitchen exhaust fans, no one else does that every year, let alone every week. You could teach a restaurant a thing or two about real cleanliness in the kitchen!

Very much appreciate the glimpse into your life at the colony, it is very interesting (we have much in common). Was wondering if you could post your water kefir recipe and possibly the coffee one also. I think if your colony made a cookbook (including the gluten free recipes of course!!) it would be awesome!! The old tough hen that got butchered is called a "road runner"?! Ha! Never heard that expression before. . . In seeing the butchering process i was hoping someone would hold up a WISHBONE! When I was a young fellar I used to help butcher chickens and in the deboning process i was always intrigued with finding the 'wishbone," hence my user name. Two people grab opposite ends of the bone and make a wish and the person who gets the larger part of the bone gets to share their wish! How about some footage of the men folks working sometime? Thanks for the interesting video!! S. Carolina

Please correct me if I'm wrong but years ago we visited a colony in Saskatchewan for a school trip and the people told us that things like video cameras, TV's and radios are strictly forbidden in the colony and against the religion? Is this still the case or do you have a different type of belief system?
@gisellewaldner9406

The hutterites in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are different when it comes to technology everybody has different rules and different ways how they go about it.....I'm from Manitoba and technology is not forbidden or frowned upon. in our school almost all our teachers are located in different colonies so our classes are done though what we call the itv system which is through a tv screen. The only thing that is not allowed is having a TV inside the house.
