So grateful to have found your channel! I’m 63 and after being given back the gift of movement, after two decades of restriction due to severely arthritic knees, I’m now working out 6 times a week - 3 days with you and heavier weights and 3 days with another gal….all dumbbell workouts but different muscle groups. I take Sunday off, do a walk! The gift of the return of movement came via a breakthrough technology that delivers glutathione inside my cells in seconds, bypassing the gut…and it’s not IV! My life was transformed, I was speed walking within 2 weeks and have been working out with you since January 2! Feeling SO strong, so flex, graduating up the weights and obsessed with your sage wisdom and compassionate approach. Thank you!!!

Hi C C I usually watch your video from my TV so I haven't been able to comment. I have to say I absolutely love your exercise format. I never really understood weights but you have changed all that for me. I love what you have taught me and my body feels so good. I am fitter and so toned my clothes fit really well. At 59 I am literally the fittest I have ever been. I have been doing the 30 minute format for about 6 weeks and i am amazed at how present I feel. Sending you much appreciation and love for putting so much consideration and love I to your videos. ❤

Some possible ways to manage weight. Eat small portions, if left hungry wait at least 2-3 hours for next meal. GI tract plus adnexes is slow. Monitor urine color, darker and foam can tell muscle loss or too large amino acid intake denitrifation outcomes. Wear little too much, if sweaty at once starting activities, you eat to gain weight. If hot at idle activity, gaining weight. Surplus muscle with no demand, what could be the reasonable reason?

I am a man and 48. Genetics play a part (I am naturally leaner than others) but even though I am in a caloric deficit, I am still putting on muscle and losing fat. Resistance training 3x per week, cardio 7x per week, HIIT, and Tae Kwon Do lessons. Cardio is mostly light walking on the treadmill with simulated hills and a burst of running. Dedicated cardio sessions are 30-45 mins. Pretty fanatical about my diet. Lean sources of protein everyday, no fast food, lots of fruits, and vegetables. I supplement whey protein and creatine. My workout routine evolved from just a commitment to a walk around the block everyday. Push-ups and crunches came later, followed by a pull up bar, and now the gym. Even picked up a part-time job at my gym. Went from 222 to 196. Fruit and creatine pre-workout, protein right after. Also do a whey and casein shake right before bed on hard workout days. Read some research that it is beneficial to muscle growth. I am a former police officer in recovery from PTSD and drug/alcohol abuse. My new “addiction” is becoming obsessed with rebuilding my body and my life, God willing. I do have the heart of a champion. It has not been easy but I would be dead without exercise. Research shows that you are actually able to change the way your genes express themselves through diet and exercise. Get after it!

I'm lifting (properly) 5 days a week, 2 days of those 5, I train to failure. I split upper and lower. I do a minimum of 20 mins of cardio after weight training everyday and walk on my days off. I'm eating 170 protein a day, I'm in a calorie deficit by 200-300 per day. I "load" one day a week where I allow the full amount of calories. Any carbs I get mostly come from fruit as I limit bread and grains. I'm drinking water and taking good supplements including creatine, collagen, L-Glutamine and fulvic minerals, as well as a good multivitamin. I'm sleeping 6 to 7 hours a night. I'm 39. I've lost 30 pounds in 4 months, and I'm thankful... but now my weight is at a stand still and has been for 3 weeks. I'm losing nothing now but I'm also not putting on anything. I noticed my clothes fitting better but my stomach is grossly big. I am overweight by 64 pounds so I know I need to lose. Can someone PLEASE help me. Some advice please! 💜
@LiftwithCee

From what you’ve shared, you’re doing many things right. I encourage you to trust the process. 1. You mention clothes are fitting better but scale weight’s not changing. Muscle weighs more than body fat but takes up less space. I think the scale is a poor indicator of change. 2. Are you calculating your calorie deficit from your new weight that is 30 pounds lighter, or your original starting weight? Could be a simple math issue. 3. I hope you feel proud of your effort to make positive changes. ♥️💪🏻

that hasn't really been working for me, unfortunately. Although i'm eating plenty of protein, I lost about 5 lbs, then hit an annoying plateau. I'm now going to just focus on a building phase and stop worrying about losing those last 10lbs. Maybe as my body builds muscle and a new shape that fat will just get eaten up in the process. I was not in a huge deficit either; eating 1500 calories, which is about 250 deficit for me.
@bunny_0288

As you get closer to your goal weight recomposition gets nearly impossible because you don't have much fat to use. From my research, once you get close to your goal it can be better to do cycles of gaining muscles followed by a cycle of cutting fat and to train/eat differently during those cycles. But always do your own research ❤

Those are some heavy weights. Woman need to start with light weights at 3 ibs and use those for several months before goiing up to 5 lbs for 6 months. Then to 8 ibs for 6 months. Then 10 lbs for 6 months. Then 12 lbs for at least 6 months. This woman is using 15 ibs which most women will never go up to. Especially if over 50. It's the increase in weights that helps you lose weight and gain muscle and burn body fat. Kathy Smith has a great workout I did for many years and it is available on KZitem for free now. Kathy Smith lift weights to lose weight. Woman can use 5 lbs and then 8 lbs back and forth for a long time and gain muscle and lose weight.

It's called progressive overload. Cee makes videos you can do in a mesocycle 4-8weeks. This way, you will learn the correct form easily to add more weight to your sets. I have been training for 11 weeks and worked my way up to 15lbs on my arms, 20-25lbs on my legs. My goal is a strong chest, shoulders and arms as my legs are already much stronger so yes I want to lift heavy as I can go! Never put limits in your head and you can do anything!!
