Since I'm apparently a mutant, I probably wouldn't have minded the Sprout crisps. Flavourwise at least, since I'm not really a fan of the insubstantial nature of Walkers/"Lays". Honestly I'm more of a McCoys boy, since while they do still get stuck in my teeth, they don't get AS stuck in my teeth as Walkers, and I enjoy the textural stimulation offered by the thick ridged nature of McCoys. Though with that said, I'm not opposed to Pringles either. While they aren't as butch as McCoys, they're still not as stick-in-your-teeth or insubstantial as Walkers. As for the moreishness factor, I reckon it's partially due to the energy boost offered by the fact that they're rammed full of other kinds of carbohydrates other than dehydrated potato. In fact, if I look at the can I've yet to open (it's too late in the evening to be munching Pringles), they include rice flour, wheat starch and corn flour. But no oats, so it's all quick-release energy.

Well in Canada I call the thin goodies chips, and we call the fries--fries...So yeah... Never heard of crisps being a thing, but I still know they are a goodie too...

As a non-Canadian... is poutine really that good? PS. Crisps is the British way to refer to this kind of product. Fries are long, thin potato slices and chips are thicker. Think McDonald's fries vs fish and chips. ... At least, I think that's it.

@@theweirdo8622 Crisp is the correct name for the British invented product. Don't know why north muricans need to be awkward and change the name of things then act like not only did they invent it but the correct name is wrong.

@@Gambit771 Hehe I call them crisps as well because I prefer British terms. I'm Brazilian, our language is Portuguese, and I find many Portuguese terms odd, I prefer Brazilian ones hehe.

@@rustbuster69 About 1 in 100 people have a mutant Gene that makes them unable to taste the bitter or pungent compound in brassica (cabbage, broccoli, Brussel sprouts) that makes a lot of people hate them. Other people enjoy bitter or pungent foods just because they have either overcome the initial dislike ("acquired a taste") or just like things most people find unusual.

Funny story: I was at a dollar store recently and, for some reason, wanted chips.... picked up a bag of vegetable chips because it looked interesting.... opened it at home and realized I'd been had! It was seasoned Styrofoam!! Brought it back to the store and the guy at the till refused to say their store sold dusted Styrofoam! I challenged him to eat a bag of em straight from the shelf. Even paid. The look of squeaky disgust was worth every penny.... he ate a quarter of the bag before he admitted it!
