I learned so much along my weight loss journey, I came out as a different, stronger person. Yes, there were tears, slip ups and sacrifices. But to see what your body and mind are capable of doing, that is the real reward. That’s when I really started to appreciate my body. When I ran a half marathon. When I dragged my sorry ass to the gym at 5 am. When I broke down crying multiple times but still didn’t give up. Not when I ate a whole Big Mac meal with fries and a shake.

Not sure of my current weight, but my clothes fit OK and I run most days. There is NO way being >200lb should be normalised apart from for tall, muscular people. I walked up to 10km daily to lose the first 14lb and then started running once I was sure my knees could cope with the strain. I was too embarrassed at first, so ran in the dark. When I started running in daylight, I realised nobody was looking at me, and nobody was interested in looking at me. Props to everyone who is taking action to improve their health, fitness and wellbeing. You can be fat and fit, but you cannot outrun a bad diet. Seriously it's not us being strong and them being weak, it's about long term diet, the damage being already done. If you have been feeding yourself with fast food since a kid you are full of growth hormones and look exactly like the super overgrown beef or chicken you are eating. They are fucked by hormones, it's not will or sloppiness. I am thin and eat like a pig, but I only things I grow, or at the very best cook from scratch, I haven't been near a fast food since 1998. I am no 6.8 but I am 52 and I can tell you my dick is still rock hard, much better than a lot of 20 year smth. I don't go to the gym I find it boring, but I walk my dog, do my garden and sail and that's less boring than the gym. But you can't blame those girls, they were broken by the food industry and now they are trying to live with it. Another thing that determines obesity is mamas doing diets during pregnancies, it's not the kid's fault but the mom's.

Once upon a time, here in Bulgaria, there were groups of gorgeous young women wandering the streets of our nondescript town. Every one of them a Goddess who resembled the original Daisy Duke, perfect long legs, ridiculous short shorts, plunging neck lines, beautiful, long, jet black or blond hair. It was incredible. In the bigger towns and cities, they were even sexier... Sound of scratched record- and then, 5 years ago, our town was plastered with fast food joints and phone-delivery apps soon followed. Last Friday, 7 out of 10 young women who walked into our local coffee shop were obese.. They all wore baggy and hideously boring stretchy clothes, hair scrunched up in to a bun. Only one drop-dead gorgeous woman walked in, perfect figure, perfect outfit- she took a lot of pride in her appearance but the rest of 'em who were glaring at her behind their voluminous ice cream sundaes, clearly they didn't give a crap. But I'm sure those new fast food phone apps have nothing to do with this tragic scenario...it's just a coincidence.

I ran the stats over two age groups......18-29 and 30-45. More than 60 percent of all profiles were over weight, 12 percent obese. But the weight stats were different across the two age groups. Most of the overweight people were in the younger age group. Body positivity has meant two different things in just my life time. We went from eating disorders straight into overeating disorders. Most women I know are overweight. The older women were clearly more healthy, and the older group had less profiles than the younger group. In all my take was our youth are not healthy at all.

Also intuitive eating works better than strict calorie defecit, and i think in that they are talking about moderating what they eat rather than strictly changing to calorie deficit, which more often leads to people regaining that wait and worse, because of certain psychological and craving reasons which can cause a deeper craving leading to over consuming later on. It's more common than you think. Better to intuitively limit calories by moderating, which is what i think that one video was talking about

It takes about two seconds of squinting to correctly identify the body parts I'm looking at. For some of them it takes that long to identify that it's actually a human being. You're looking at this blob and go _'ah, I see it now. There's the head. I can see eyes and a mouth...and those are probably arms...or side boobs...and that down there is either a giant vagina or or a stomach...ah no. It's a thigh. Silly me'._

@@dec1085 If you can even call it that. Most of the time they just twerk and flop their rolls around and call it a day.

They usually like to record on camera and upload to tik tok what they eat in a day, but behind closed doors, multiply that amount by 5.

There is a dancer in the states that has to take a medication due to a medical condition from birth, and the medication makes her overweight and she can't control it and doesn't let it stop her from doing ballerina dance That I understand and support because she has no control over it but these cases it's a life choice

For some of them maybe. But you don’t know all of their stories. Many overweight people have medical problems (including medication side effects) which make losing weight nearly impossible, despite doing strict diet and exercise

I think it's important to not correlate self acceptance with giving up on getting healthy in your own head as a fat person. I had to realise I was worth my own effort before I started properly putting in the miles. I'm still fat but I'm shrinking cause I want to live a long, happy life.
