Ive watched numerous welders. No bashing them because they are great, much respect to them, but to see someone jump between so many different skills and materials and the outcome looks like you do it every single day. You make this stuff look easy. Absolutely incredible to watch!

Well Greg, I suppose this is the nicest and most well equipped welding rig I’ve ever seen. I am one who believes that organization really increases productivity, and is so much safer also. Kudos on a fine rig, and well equipped for field work. Being as I am near retirement, and hope to do a side hustle, I hope to be able to set up a rig for what I plan to do, that works well for me. I really appreciate you making these videos…they are the best on youtube IMO. Blessings!

Hi Greg, thank you for taking the time to do a Service Truck tour. A couple of things occurred to me that you might want to consider. Labelling for every drawer and cupboard and have a list on the inside of each door. Secondly, picnic rugs or ground sheets to lay out beneath each cupboard so that as you are going through things and having to pull them out to get to what's at the back, you can put the items down onto the ground sheet to firstly stop them from getting lost or misplaced and secondly to keep all of the boxes and bags as clean as possible so that you aren't getting as much dirt or mud or tip muck inside your cupboards. It's a lot easier to just hose down a ground sheet than it is to clean individual tool boxes. On the subject of a mini lathe, from what I have seen, the majority of mini lathes are not worth considering for industrial applications. You would probably have to look at a smaller standard lathe, but would that be strong enough for the kinds of steels that you work with? Then there is the question of protecting the lathe from the elements and from travel vibrations and jolts? Your call. I also had a question about the void space under the upper deck. Could that space be used for storing your 'get out of jail' supplies of steel and cribbing timbers? Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Carpenter and sometime welder.
@OFW

You have some great suggestions! I was already thinking labels for all the drawers. The mini lathe would be for light use anyway.

Outstanding 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Only things I'd add: -12x40-ish bench lathe up top, and perhaps a small mill -Selection of threaded rod -Heavy welding table that fits in the bed you can hoist out when you need it And maybe a nice 30 foot camper to pull behind it because I'd wanna live next to that truck. 😀 Seriously man.. that's basically a whole metal shop on wheels. Well done.

Very nicely equipped service rig! Great layout of tools and equipment. I didn't see gear pullers and bearing splitters but I'm sure they were in there somewhere. Love all the utility lines -air, power, etc - plumbed out to spools and ready to go. I like having an assortment of 1-6" long aluminum flat bar scraps from 1/8" x 3/4" up to 3/4" x 1 1/2" on hand for clamping and fitting as well as some flat sheet shims from 1/16 down to .030. Will have to tune into more of your channel and watch you work a few jobs to see the rig in action. Also look forward to seeing a mini lathe mounted up there on top. Could see that being very useful.

I don’t weld nor anything that approaches the level of what you do so why do I subscribe to your channel, it’s easy: I enjoy a mind that problem solves and you do it extremely well. Kudos to you.

Awesome truck tour your truck is very well set up for your kind of work. I have a Stellar service body on my work truck and love it.
