Could play any position except 7/9, Big Wendell at fullback would have been unreal

Yeah because he was tall and lanky his speed gets camouflaged because his cadence is slower than a smaller runner

It is wild how often Kevin walters is the guy throwing the pass for a Renouf or sailor try.

Walters is the five-eight, breaking the line and feeding quality ball to his speed men is kinda his job😋 he can he was good at though

@@true80schild I’m aware of all that. Just when you look over the highlights reels of guys and then his own highlights reels. It’s actually ridiculous that walters isn’t talked about in the same way Fittler and Kenny are. Because he was brilliant.

@@troystaunton254 your correct just watched game 3 1994 origin. QLD lost but Walters set up both of Qlds try’s. He was a fantastic player👍

@@troystaunton254 Fuckin A, I think the Broncos though we're a great team more than a collection of brilliant players if you know what I mean. What they did in the nineies and 2000 stands up against or better than any team in any competition in the world. I would also argue the ARL is one of the hardest comps to win or play in anyway Do u agree 😋

🤔 I wonder what Sailor 100m time was…scary combination of speed and size like a Jonah Lomu

Freddie Fittler once told a funny story about the emergence of Big 'Dell. He was talking about what a nightmare Willie Carne was to handle, with his sheer size, strength and speed and once he retired, they thought they'd get a respite from huge backs in the Broncos. And then Wendell suddenly appeared and it was, "Where the hell did HE come from?" 🤣

@QLDspineUndefeated-tv5py I have a lot of childhood memories of those two on the wing for the Broncos. Both menacing players and both were like a Jonah Lomu type player in their own right. One in a million yet the Broncos had two of them in the same team

Man what about the step and pace off the mark. I'm a passionate Broncos fan and never realised the potential he had both in rugby league and union. Unreal 🤣

CJ77 I'm absolutely loving watching your videos. If you're wondering who to do next, Gene Miles Origin and Australian highlights and hate to admit it, but Eric Grothe Snr was also a beast.

Langer, Renouf and Sailor. If a commentator said those three names in the space of a couple of sentences, you pretty much knew the opposition had serious problems. That was an incredibly good side. In my opinion as an avid league fan for thirty years, Alfie Langer was only matched in ability by Darren Lockyer and maybe Greg Inglis for a couple of seasons. I always felt disappointed with sailor at the end of his career. Don't think he had the impact that Lomu had and I felt he could have had. I think that the major issue with his transition to union is it came too late and the Australian pack was incredibly weak so he didn't get enough chance to run off front foot ball deep in the opposition 22. It felt like he was always having to try from too deep off shot back foot possession. People compare him with Jason Robinson but he always got the better of Robinson in league with uncontested scrums but Robinson had one of the greatest packs ever in front of him and this meant he got great front foot ball which is way easier to score from
