Load weights will vary greatly depending on species or length of the wood. Sometimes you have to adjust for the grades or road conditions too. 100 Metric tonne is a common net payload and sometimes heavier in ideal situations.

This is why big bore high horsepower engines are needed. Not to go up the mountain, but to come down!. Try jaking down an 8% grade at 100 tons gross with a 13 liter engine....you'll be at the bottom real fast lol

Why is this thing smoking so much from it's backend? Breaks?
@flyinwalenda
2 жыл бұрын
Breaks? No, nothing is broken. The truck and trailer uses water to cool the brakes. Cold water heated instantly by splashing on the hot brake drums creates steam.

No, they have water cooled brakes. There's a large reservoir just behind the cab. Driver manually controls putting on the water as required. Just a small stream on the outside of the drum.

These trucks are limited to Off-Highway because they're too big for the highway. They also carry heavier loads.
