Wes, you are so right about the problems of leaving ground untouched, which leads to invasive species of thorn trees and bushes taking over. Those are not native to the US. We have to keep fighting such things back seeds that come from "wildlife habitat" set asides next to my cattle ranch, which is a big pain. I agree completely with everything you said. Thanks for bringing this to light.

Heath superchaser is a really quite simple machine it’s just hydraulic hoses and cylinders !. The only electrical part is the valve block and it’s not even overly complex, I’m sure if you had an issue with the valve block you would easily source parts from a good hydraulic store in the US. I know the newer ones have joystick control, but I think you can still get the older switch controls like mine which are just dpdt switches in a box and very very easy to fix if anything goes wrong. If you come back over to the UK it would be worth speaking to either Big Bale North or maybe Heath direct (not sure Heath would sell direct tho), you could always come and have a look at mine as well if you wanted to for good look round one !.

The state needs to get their shit sorted out. You've got one department buying land to turn it into scrub habitat and another department whose goal is to preserve land for farming. It's not compatible and ends up wasting a lot of money.

John Smith Although it is computer assisted, there are many vatiables involved in operating the baler. Chanber pressure, windrow size, bale moisture, settings of the pickup, and the product in the windrow, all impact bale operation. As shown when the pickup contacted a stump, damage can be expensive, and repairs time consuming. Problems with the twine knotters can be tricky to solve and require intimate knowledge of how the knotters work.

Figure out a backup market for the sorghum in case you get to harvest and the china deal falls through. The small hay bales (idiot blocks) were a very time consuming inefficient part of your 'hay season'. It would depend on how much 'social value' you place on providing the small hay bale service against improving efficiency of the operation. Either ask the small bale customers to purchase used skidsteers/ tractors to handle the big krone hay bales themselves. Use two or more small balers. Take off the bale kickers and go the separate tow a long bale bandit route to reduce/ eliminate the hand handling of the small bales (rather than expect the old small balers to tow anything) www.balebandit.com/model-200/pickup-unit/ (used one in bethel, Pa for $26K) versus a used UK krone 1270 multibale us$80K, 16K bale runner kzitem.info/news/bejne/2GaLrIpmm5qCmYo

Temperamental would make for some possible cussing and fixing videos. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1YyBuGaLh4KdoKw Kuhn mfg accumulator system and grapples. (old baler might not like pushing bale column into the kuhn accumulator) kzitem.info/news/bejne/z4iM2413oaWBl5g CID skid steer hay accumulator grapple (fairly simple, but pushes the small bales along the ground) kzitem.info/news/bejne/xGuDnq6jhnadqKg Rocky mountain bale sweep (lifts the small bales, damp regions probably need a chain to make sure the bales release when reversing) kzitem.info/news/bejne/xXh_tIemgZt1jZw (Ag wrap wrapper - 6,8, 10 small bales)
