Great video as always! Looks like that JD 4020 is still alive and well. First tractor that I ever drove when I was a kid and I’m 63 now. It used to have a cab and a/c and an am/fm radio. We thought we had gone to heaven with an air conditioned tractor! It’s been a good one.

looks like nice stuff glad to see that it didn't have much hog damage because our oats were almost completely destroyed by hogs at least the coastal came up midway through the oats so we had some decent tonnage.

Sorry to hear about your oats. This place where this vid was shot is our only place with hogs but they didn't mess with the wheat at all this spring. We trapped 27 hogs last week.

Another great video Shane! Just a question, do you have a problem with a MoCo like that dragging off to one side and trying to pull the tractor every which way in soft and fluffy or slightly muddy ground?
@Shane3507

Thanks...no we don't but mud is usually never an issue in our part of the world! Our ground is pretty sandy/rocky!

Why the making of wheat hay as opposed to taking it to yield? Was there frost damage or is making wheat hay routine?
@Shane3507

Had too much wild oats in it to make a decent yield for grain!

Is a mower with a conditioner required to cut wheat hay? The only fields we have that do require to be conditioned are sudan grass. The rest is just coastal
@Shane3507

That's the only cutter we have. We went ahead and conditioned to help bust it up and dry it quicker.

Nope we escpaed that! Easter wknd it got down into the middle 30's for couple nights. These fields just had some wild oats in them, wouldn't make as much $$ if just cut it for grain.
