shouldnt of scared ppl away from the race bikes... they are just fine for trails...
@ChannelofThings
7 жыл бұрын
i never said they weren't "fine for trails" because any dirt bike is fine for trails hence the name DIRT bike. Race bikes are just impractical for 90% of new riders who are trying to learn or something. Like i said in the video, they usually require constant maintenance to keep them running, so unless you are specifically looking for a bike like that, buy a more trail oriented bike. Again, thats not to say race bikes CANT do trails. Thats just from my experience after trying to learn on a crf250r when i was 12.

You kind of asked 2 questions here. 1: Yes Im telling you to buy either a 230cc - 250cc. I dont really understand whats so appalling about that. Unless you are a midget you will be proportional to the bike. Obviously sit on it to test it but ya. 2: About the year thing, i think you might have misunderstood what i said. I said that the year of bike would depend on your price range. I actually spoke about bikes 2000+ for the majority of the video, but also touched on options for cheap 90s bikes if you have a low budget.

Suggesting 125's and 230's to 12 year-olds... You do know anything over 125 is the EXACT SAME SIZE!!! A 250 is no smaller than a 450 its just lighter... For anyone under 12 I'd recommend a CRF110, Yamaha TTR90/110, Yamaha PW80, Kawasaki KLX110, KTM 65SX S/L, SSR 125cc, Atomik 125cc... or really any bike thats decently tall and probably doesn't have the operation of a clutch 13 up (which is my age) would recommend something like a DR-Z125, TTR125, XR100 and if their looking for something with more power... Get a Honda CR80/85 or a YZ 85/125 or even a KTM SX85 or SX125 Small Wheel And there is no 13 up expert... it should be 16 up, thens when you should be getting 250's and 350's after your 18 or so then it might be good to get a 450 or maybe even move over to sport bikes & such

HEY EVERYBODY HERE'S A WORD OF ADVICE; don't buy a 450 or above all that power for off road on two weels is pointless, it's proven 250 cc are faster on the trail because the bike bike doesn't run away from u when u crank the throttle

This is garbage. The 250x and 250r are very similar bikes. They just have a huge weight difference (250r much lighter) and horsepower difference (250r pumping out much more). But again they are VERY similar bikes. Your not gonna do much more maintenance of an R. Plus you totally skipped out on track riding. I'm however not a motocrosser, I ride woods and only occasionally track. Personally, I ride a FC 250 (Husqvarna) and it has close to no maintenance big maintenance. I've had so many bikes and as long as you do the regular stuff (Chain, air filter, oil) there won't have any problems

You forgot KTM's and all KTM sh*t talkers can go to hell because most will say: Also most of the big KTM problems with older bikes were fixed and upgraded, the alleged "KTM's snapping in half" deal was fixed by KTM... "Oh I love my Honda CRF 450f or 250f" Or my oh Yamaha yz 250f or 450f or Wr's or whatever... But KTM's offer bikes that are more catering to the offroad racers because they are statistically lighter and higher performance than lets say a KTM 450exc vs the WR 450... Also the KTM's most typically can be registered and even the xc's you can install lighting easy if it has a battery... That is why I love KTM's also I like them because all the other Japanese manufacturers besides Yamaha now with the YZ 250x smoker and YZ 250FX Thumper, dropped the 2 stroke. The only current makers of 2 strokes are Yamaha, KTM, Sherco, Beta, Gas Gas... I am not a 4 stroke guy because of the valves nonsense conundrum... Also the whole KTM quality debate is silly. I heard lots of people say that KTM quality is at or better than the Jap bikes currently. And the people that make fun of KTM's either make fun of them because they are different, or because they don't have one, or can't afford one...

I am looking for a 4 stroke now, and I don't really want a trail bike tho, and I can't afford a crf150r, I've rode my dad/brothers 250f, and I did pretty good on it, except since im only like 5'2, I could only basically 1 foot holding me up. Choose a color? That is soooo dumb. The companies are soo different. especially between honda and ktm. Ktm uses lighter parts better for racing so if your not racing don't get a ktm. Also, if you buy a four stroke, why beat down on the race bikes. Im 14 and have been dirtbiking through TRAILS since age 5. I ride a suzuki 85 now and I didnt just choose a color because I looked into tbe specs of all of the 85s before. I am now looking for a 250 fourstroke. Either Honda, Kawasaki, or Suzuki because they manufacture in my opinion the best bikes. So dont tell people to pick a color, that is not true.

a) practically everyone rides 'race bikes' on the trails around meb) the bigger the engine doesn't mean higher top speed, sprockets will do that for you, though it will have more powerc) two strokes are much easier to learn on, less flipping power, less maintenance ive rode a 250 2 stroke all my life and ive loved every second of it. I would recommend an older race model to anyone, learners or not, because they are simple and cheaper, plus don't look like an endurocross bike from the 90's

I'm 14 years old and I'm 6 foot+ I really don't know what to get as every dirt bike online is too small for me to ride and the ones I can are way to expensive any advice ? Or even a name of a cheap make that's ride able for a taller person

125 are big bikes if you get good quality Japanese but if you get Chinese those stupid ssr 125 the small so I’ll get what I want and you can’t go of one brand the whole time

The problem with me is that I can't find anywhere to buy a dirtbike. I live in northern jersey and there aren't any dealerships around that I've seen

No fuck that if you're getting a dirt bike get a new one where you k ow the history and 4strokes need maintenance but not as much and as often a 2stroke if you get a used one you got the option of some one lying to your fave and selling you a bike that's on the verge of blowing up

I’m 12 and ride a 2001 Honda Xr 100 and I still have at least another year on it. How would I fit a 200?

I think that whatever bike we start out with whether that’s a Honda Yamaha or Suzuki I was a kid is the bike that we most likely will go with for the rest of our lives

The crf 100 is actually really good for 12 to 15 year olds because it’s the same size as a150

This is waaaay too confusing Cr(2 stroke) 85,125,250 85 being under 13’s, 125 being a great bike for anyone else. Crf the f always meaning 4 stroke 150, 250, 450 Again 150 being under 13, 250s being a step up from 125s if you need it
