So, I am slowly building my Taco for camping as well. I am not going full on with the rack, I am working on getting a soft top for the back of the truck. I have compartmentalized everything into a couple of totes: I have my chuckbox (its own tote), my cooler, a large Plano tote for pretty much all the rest of the gear. Then, my tent (Gazelle T3), two chairs, four collapsible tent poles, and a collapsible table. Inside the rear cab goes sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and backpacks. Recovery gear is stowed under the rear seats. Taco rear seats fold flat, which is great for storage. I contemplated a side awning, but really thought about it: this kind of limits your use to one side. I use one of the collapsible tent poles as a ridge pole, then soft shackle it to the roof rack. I can put it on either side, or the rear, depending on the weather and terrain.

Nice set up, i was thinking about that jerry can water filter from lifesaver that would allow you harvest water in bulk at any source and have filtered water come out , I’m pretty sure it won’t work in place of the Roto pack but you could probably store it somewhere in that truck. Unlimited clean water to drink.

Great video. I am a bug outter or what ever you want to call it. I don't bugout but if shtf I will be somewhat ready. No one in my family believes it will happen so they are doing nothing. But when they talk about my stuff they say we or our. There is 10 people in my family what they don't understand is everything I have would last all of us a few days. Or would last me 2 or 3 months. I can't get it in there heads to start a bugout bag. And I say 2 or 3 months for me is because I was in the military and I know how to ration. They would still expect 3 meals day. I'm going nuts. Thank you love your videos.

From what you said, that's a *super* quilt 😉 That whole setup is nicely integrated into the truck and ready to go, much better than my 1990s rig of a 3/4-tin 4x4 Suburban with plastic tubs of gear, added saddle tanks, 20 gal water container strapped on top. No I'm down to a Honda Element with a backpack😂🤣 You need to bring your rig out west, maybe Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Oregon, some places that are entirely open where you can drive for hours or camp without seeing anyone.

Most people wouldn’t bother but as a man who liked being prepared, you should get a portable AED. We have them at work and they said they’re not as expensive as you’d think. A few hundred dollars, but they improve the chances of CPR working by 80 percent.

Some really good ideas and implementations. My truck is my main vehicle and I wouldn't want to haul all of that around with me all the time. I think a smaller trailer camper like a TRAXA Tiger Moth makes more sense. And with the truck bed drawers.

Great set up and gear load. I am sure like every other person, I have suggestions to make it better.... So, I know you have a spare tire, but maybe a tire repair kit? How do you handle stuff rattling around, as you showed the gear load, seemed like items were just in the bins, seems they would bounce around getting damaged? For creature comforts, a fan for the camp site? Solar panels to get the power pack charged? Otherwise, looks like you are having a blast setting up the new truck. Fun watching the gear setup others put in place. Keep up the great work.

Can the power pack serve to jump start the truck? If not, you may want to consider adding a jump starter pack somewhere in the truck. It would be really awful to have someone accidentally drain the truck battery leaving you stuck in the bush.

Bravo Zulu!! From a longtime follower and admirer of your productions! Very informative, appreciate your time and expertise. The H2O RotoPax are fine utilitarian gear additions, but… When your rig is left unattended, it appears that some passing evil idiot could tamper with the cap and pollute your water with who knows what. God forbid! For security, one might consider fashioning a lockable metal hood/cover over the top of the RotoPak spout. Thanks again and best wishes with your newly diversified content on your channel. Safe travels and Godspeed to you and family. Rex
