7:53 The movie you're thinking of is The Goonies! The character was Chunk, and the rest of the kids made him do the "Truffle Shuffle", which was his signature dance (involving lifting his shirt & rolling his stomach). Later on they were walking up a hill & Chunk says "You guys made me go up this big hill, you said you'd give me a Twinkie"

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland is in Frankenmuth, MI (also known as Michigan's Little Bavaria). Bronner's is open 360 days per year. (Closed Christmas, American Thanksgiving, New Years Day, Easter and closed at noon on Good Friday. It is located about one hour north of Detroit. Frankenmuth is a very popular destination and has many small shops and two restaurants (The Bavarian Inn and Zehnders), both known for their fried chicken dinners that are served family-style. Since it's so close to our home, we try to go once a year. It's been tradition from my mother-in-law to get a new personalized ornament for each of the grandkids every year. They will hang them on her tree until they are passed to them when they have trees of their own.

OMG BRONNERS! That is from my state of Michigan, from a town maybe 30 minutes away from me. We travel there every year, especially at Christmas time. Bronner's is the world's biggest Christmas store, although they do have a little bit for other holidays. It's so magical and worth checking out if you ever come to Michigan. There's also some amazing chicken and gifty shops all in an authentic Bavarian village.

Famous jello in the 70's was fruit cocktail in the jello with whip cream as a topping or mixed in and made into a fruit salad. Also famous in the 70's was all kinds of different fruit in the jello as well. Seriously, I grew up eating jello all kinds of different ways. That was us kids ate in the 70's. American in London here…love watching you guys! Every year for Thanksgiving, my family makes a jello dessert called ‘Joy to the Tongue’ it’s made with strawberry and raspberry jello (1 box of each), sour cream, plain yogurt and canned/gelled cranberry. Sadly because of my job I can’t get back to the states for Thanksgiving anymore, so I celebrate on the Saturday after with my (British) husband and friends who are also Brits but lived in the US for a few years. I serve Joy to the Tongue every year…and it gets more of a laugh than anything, but I still absolutely love it and I think you guys would too! Side note- it’s unfortunate you can’t get Cool Whip over here to put on the pumpkin pie also 😉 Next time you’re in the states you must try Cool Whip!
