Greta video as always! Thanks for the info. I wholeheartedly agree that information is the key. All that extra information actually helps as well for us guys who have been turning wrenches all out lives, but not as a gear head specifically. All the extra info gives background, and that helps understanding. When you understand a thing, you can properly maintain and or fix a thing. I don't want to get an epic amount of horsepower, or speed, or cool out of my truck, I just want to: -keep it as amazing as it has been for fourteen years - fix the pre-existing problems or emergencies(steering, teeny tiny tires, emissions restrictiveness, etc or "replace this with 'X' as soon as humanly possible!") - improve what can be improved upon (should you upgrade to this or that when the stock one wears out, or go OEM) Anything you can

That electic valve is on the inlet side of it. It only lets as much fuel into the pump, and thus the rail, which is actually being consumed. It doesn't heat up the fuel unnescessarily. It's not as wasteful as the CP1, which let high pressure fuel back to the tank.

Very informative video bro. Thanks for teaching me something. I wana do a 12mm and 100-150% over injectors.

Thank you man that means alot, I am thinking pretty hard about doing 100% injectors after I get my air side sorted out

@@Cargill450 go with a S472 if your going to go with 100% overs. Thats the route I think I'm going to bump up to in the future once I get fuel mods done.

I think I am going to do just that, a 472 on 100% injectors, hopefully that setup will hurt some feelings

@@Cargill450 what else do I need to reliably run a 472?

A 472 is a fairly big setup and it really all depends on your driving style, sounds strange I know. I would say bare minimum head studs but the 472 is going to need some extra fuel so at the end of the day I would say head studs, lift pump, cp3 upgrade and bigger injectors. The factory cp3 will run 35% over injectors but thats maxed out with a lift pump and a 472 your going to need more fuel then that. A 472 is a little bit of a rabbit hole to be honest 😅

Hey if you can , I have an 03 Chevy 3500 with the CP3. What is the operating or start up pressure? It throw a p0087 code. Now the truck won’t start. I just changed the Injectors and to the pump back to have it tested. Can you help?

I haven't worked on a duramax in a long time now but those motors take about 2500 psi in the rail to start and im sure they idle around 4500 to 5500psi. What was the reason for the new injectors?
