Joe, create content as always. Very interesting to see the R-value of the foam vs the coolers. By any chance, do you know the R-values of the PVC "insulated tubes" that products like EDGE or others are using?

Cool. So I think the idea would be to apply this directly to the rubbermaid tub itself, then put a frame around it? Or we would want to spray the foam on the inside of the panels we put on the frame?

Apply right to the tank 👍

Joe are you indicating to apply foam spray to the sides of tank? I don’t plan on framing my Rubbermaid container so I can move from garage to basement. Won’t the foam spray just fall off the side of the tank if not framing it?

It will stick to the tub no problem. Just did this to my 150 gallon Rubbermaid tank

On the Kraken, one inch is the recommended application per spray… you can add more, but only one inch at a time.

I am attempting to use the spray foam to insulate a air duct. Will the foam stick if I am spraying on a duct in the ceiling or will it drip off? This foam stuff is impossible to get off stuff once it falls on it. Ty

Hard to say without testing it out... I'd sample a small part of the duct to see.

How did you go so many smooth passes with the foam beak? Mine started clogging up after the first 5-10 seconds 😢

Make sure to shake the cans, and then just work smoothly and don't let it dry as you work 👍

So how many cans would you need for the type of enclosure you’re selling on your site?

I can't say for sure, but I did use 13 cans on my latest build using a 112 gallon insert.

Will the spray foam fall off if sprayed directly onto the tank?

Not in my experience

The open/closed cell structure are completely different between great stuff and Atkin/ Kraken. The great stuff has a tighter closed cell structure therefore the depth can be less than using Atkin or Kraken, which need more depth than Great stuff to duplicate the same performance because the cell structure is more open.

Did he stumble across a completely accidental realization of what is supposed to happen with the kraken and the akfix? I mean I heard open and close cell before but... That's a cell. Is that what that means, I thought it was a molecular level difference.... That's a big hole!
