This channel is genuinely educational. I wish I could say this about others.

I say my Ytube video series called 'Myths in so-called Christianity' is educational in intent. As I expose Myths which are misreading that have become embedded into doctrine, I give the truth that such as Paul intended, and it is now a complete teaching. Feel free to watch as there are now 24 videos.

Josh, a good topic to consider is the distinction between the 1620 Puritans (Salem MA) and 1630 Pilgrims (Plymouth). The “Pilgrims” included a number who were not Puritans, thus the need for the Mayflower Compact to agree to protect each other.

Thanks so much for doing this research and posting this. I helped start the church you gave as an example of baptist in theology, Cornerstone Congregational Church in Westford, MA. We spent a lot of time talking about this topic and we really appreciate the CCCC flexibility on baptism. I also recently (March 2022) created a VLOG on the CCCC, and the CCCC's church-planting arm, The Nineveh Network. Much different style than this one though. Thanks again!

Suprisingly, ive expected something like Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, instead i've got a biblical well-rounded denomination: - Trinity - Scripture authority - Autonomy of local church - Universal fellowship - Salvation by faith only - Widespread eternal security - Diversity on sacraments, creation, worship, ordination, eschatology - Healthy biblical position on tithing - Conservative position on family for brothers and sisters in Christ “‘The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:24-26

Does anyone have a quick explanation of the differences between the CCCC and the NACCC? Would you consider either of them to be the modern puritans?

The NACCC is Rex Tillerson's church. I believe there are about 100,000 conservative Congregationalists in the United States today. Interesting video, please do a say, 7 or 8 minute one exclusively on WELS Lutheran or EPC Presbyterian

Whoa! 4Cs founded in 1948 in anticipation of the UCC. there were 2 in Oakland County, Mich when i moved to metro Detroit, now there's only 1 BUT the 4C's got Niebuhr's church! Emmanuel-Bethel in Royal j'Oak, Mich. contains Niehbuhr's Bethel Evangelical Church formerly in Detroit. They had a theological renewal, and left the UCC for the 4C's. BTW, led by 1st Congregational of Detroit several metro Congregational churches stayed out of the UCC.

We have much to be indebted to the Congregational churches for and their recovery of the truth concerning autonomous local fellowships comprising only a saved membership.

Very interesting, and I respect many of their statements... Though I'm inclined to think a 'board or conference' of congregational churches is a bit like Constitutional anarchy. A larger overhead that makes general prescriptions/proscriptions for individual gatherings who each believe that their individual gathering is autonomous/self-governing -- seems counterintuitive to me... How do they get their statements out to the other churches? How do they know which churches to send them to? What do they do if one of the 'self governing' churches rejects part/all of one of their statements? Why would they care?... What if 2-3 of their 'self-governing churches' convened to join into an 'autonomous tri-bodied church' in which only three churches freely chose to govern/convene amongst themselves? Is it still congregational? Why or why not? I don't really see how this is much different than just 'a denomination.'

Good thoughts. I do want to do Lord's Recovery at some point for sure. I would put Swedenborgianism in the same box as being very unusual (I have made a video on them) and I just made a playlist with five groups that are particularly unusual in that way, based off of this comment.

Very interesting. The Puritan settlers have had such a decisive role in the formation of the American identity it's interesting to know where they are today. Although it could he argued that the momentum of their fervour, and thus the true "spirit" of Puritanism switched to the Baptist movement after the Great Awakening. So a Calvinist fundamentalist Baptist congregation can equally claim to.he modern heirs of the Puritans

I'm not sure if you already did a video on this but could you please do one on older versus New Earth creationism and what various churches such as Catholics Orthodox and of course the various Protestant groups you mentioned in your videos believe in. I think old Earth creationism sounds more accurate.

If persecution becomes severe, and Christians become castigated from society, these brothers might be the balm of Gilead to a desperate believer. And local only ecclesiology will be passé.

In recent times, it is obvious that certain powerful interest groups seek to cultivate what they term "global faith leaders". To be a successful global faith leader, you need a big organisation behind you. But it is harder to persuade and buy off thousands of local leaders than a handful of head honchos.
