There have also been many sightings of a similar creature in Lake Champlain, in Vermont, known as Champ. Lake Champlain is a hundred and twenty miles long, and thirty miles wide, with mostly empty countryside and swamps along either side of it. It is also on the same latitude as loch Ness. One researcher, named Dennis Hall, thinks it could be what is known as a tanystropheus, which was an extremely long-necked, slender, and massive reptile that was known to live in the area up until the last ice age. There have also been several videos taken by Hall which are very difficult to explain away, and which certainly seem to show large, long-necked reptiles swimming in the lake, although the videos are not very well known. Considering that this creature was known to still exist just a few thousand years ago, and considering that it supposedly lives in the least densely populated state in the US, it seems that it is definitely a possibility that it does exist.. Also, it should be mentioned that there have been several recordings in the past decade of a creature echolocating in the lake, at a frequency that does not resemble any known creature. The only animals known to echolocate underwater are dolphins and whales, and neither of them could possible access the lake, since it is land-locked. It has been determined be several scientists that there is an unknown animal echolocating in the lake, and they have recorded it in several different locations..

Thwallace it will be when you put in a little time to learning it. Metric is intuitive and makes much more sense. There are 1000 meters in a kilometer, how many meters in 2.3 kilometers? Much easier that 5,280 ft in a mile, how many feet in 2.3 miles?

Here's what I think: if plesiosaurs and other prehistoric sea reptiles exist (which I think is quite possible), then they probably venture into the loch to feed or to mate or nest, but don't actually live there. The loch does have access to the North Sea, so that is possible, and there are a number of species that can survive in both saltwater and freshwater. I don't think a species of animal of that size could reside there alone, and the same goes for other lake monsters.
@butchie8454

GaelicCelt1990 plesiosaurs vertebrae locked in a way that made it impossible to arch there necks like swans like a lot of people say to have witnessed.
@GaelicCelt1990
6 жыл бұрын
True, but the same thing applies, an unknown sea creature of considerable size (if they actually exist) could move from a saltwater environment to a freshwater one in the same way as bull sharks, saltwater crocodiles and certain species of large fish can, plesiosaur or not. Also, it's possible that such an animal alive today could've evolved since prehistoric times to have a more flexible neck. Another interesting thing to consider is that people's memories can be somewhat unreliable, especially when they've witnessed something shocking or surprising, and some details could be missed or exaggerated. There are also liars and fakers.

When I was nine, my Aunt took me to Loch Ness. As a child I grew up on a lot of our myths in Scotland, and as you travel to Inverness and Loch Ness you can see the impact of the myth of Nessie. Teddy bears, plush items, pillows, scarves, blankets: Nessie is more of a marketing item for tourism, rather than a simple myth to most. I believe that Nessie could exist, in some form. But even if the myth was a fabrication, you can hardly deny how beautiful the Loch itself is.

Because Loch Ness is so deep and so narrow there is not enough vegetation to support enough fish to feed any monsters. Scientist concluded there was only enough fish in all of Loch Ness to feed one 2 Tone monster, if one existed. Having been to Loch Ness I can testify that the only thing that lives there are ducks on the surface, a few fish, and the locals that live by the lake. There is nothing else that Loch Ness.

That is an interesting theory, as it would explain sightings over a long period of time (unless there was an active breeding population), plus the limited food in the Loch that will likely not be sufficient enough for a large aquatic predator. Aside from religious beliefs, we know nothing about what happens after death. With that being said, who knows, really.

In addition to Champ in Lake Champlain, there's also the Ogopogo from Kelowna BC. People say that it too is a pleasiasaur, and there's a native American legend that says you had to bring a chicken or some small sacrifice to throw off your canoe to the Ogopogo, so that you can have safe passage. Well when the white man came, he didn't respect the Ogopogo, and tried to cross without giving the lake Monster its tribute. So the Ogopogo flipped his canoe and dragged him to the bottom of the lake. Do a part two featuring monsters that are like Nessie perhaps??? But great video and I LOVE listening to your voice. I honestly think the Greenland shark theory makes a ton of sense. The size, coloration, and sighting characteristics all match the Greenland. Most sightings are of a smooth hump or "overturned boat" roughly 20 ft long and brown, grey, or rusty in color all match. They live in cold water and have lifespans of at least 100 years and possibly longer.

The like button I invariably hit 90%+ of the time, even if I don't actually like the video, I see it as a courtesy to content providers. I was just curious about the OP asking if people "are against learning" that's all. I find the Loch Ness monster subject matter to be incredibly tedious but I still wouldn't hit dislike - if I've something to say I'll say it in the comments.

I think you have vowed, not to show your face, but I like your deep and majestical voice.

As the descriptions often depict it as having a long curved neck, that sort of eliminates the possibility of it being a plesiosaur because the neck of a plesiosaur could not bend , "Tall neural spines inhibited vertical (up and down) flexibility and large processes on the anterior and posterior surfaces of the vertebrae (prezygapophyses and postzygapophyses) inhibited horizontal (side to side) flexibility. The neck was therefore actually rather inflexible so plesiosaurs could also not adopt the often depicted swan-like pose (Storrs, 1993)."

I hope I get to see Scotland one day. This place is definitely on my bucket list. 😍 I used to have a wooden plesiosaur skeleton hanging in my room when I was a kid. He was so cool! (I loved that end part!😁)

My sister is obsessed with the Loch Ness Monster. She dedicated her whole life to the mythical creature and one day proves it's existence. Well,she's ambitious.

By the way there are many bed-and-breakfast locations throughout the township, and an equestrian training outfit that will let you camp on the grounds for a few pounds a night located just over the bridge. Loch Ness is a great place to visit, take photographs, and drink a few pints. Just don't get your hopes up i'm spotting Nessie.
