Have you done a video or a blog post on why the beauty products you use matter? I'm wondering why if we aren't ingesting it, the toxins in beauty products matter. Thanks!!
@joyoushealth
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, tons! If you go to the beauty section of my blog, you will find a lot of articles that address this: www.joyoushealth.com/2-blogcat-beauty While we aren't ingesting it, of the products we put on our body, about 80% (if not, more) are absorbed directly into our bloodstream and at a quick rate too. It's really important that we're keeping these toxins out of our food and personal care products.

+healthyeatingalways Actually! Great news... My book is coming out earlier now -- Dec 27th, 2016 yay! Yes, there are quite a few good brands. My two faves are Green Beaver and I have my own joyous brand of TP on the joyous shop. I can link it to you if you're interested. Or you can make your own -- baking soda, coconut oil + mint essential oil. I need to do a video of this!

+Lindsey Marlene Thanks! Re. dry skin brushing.. you would need to buy a brush specifically for the face. The brush I showed in my video is not meant for the face. It would be too coarse, you need a soft bristle facial brush. Whole Foods should have one, I've seen them there before.

Hi Joy, I had commented on this video previously, but I re-watched it and had a question on non-toxic deodorants. I have tried a few brands like (Primal Pit Paste, Schmidt's and Lavanila) just to name a few and they always give me a burn or a bad reaction. People have told me that it's due to your body detoxing or reacting with product and that if you continue it will get better. I couldn't continue because it was too irritating. What is your take on why this happens? I'd love to purchase your product, but I just don't want the same type of thing to happen. Any insight would help. Thanks!
@joyoushealth
7 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing all those products were baking soda based and the reaction you speak of is actually very common. This is why I have 2 different kinds of deos that I sell. One is a stick and it is meant for sensitive skin and the other is baking soda based. Hope that helps! This is the one that would be best for you: www.joyoushealth.com/7774-product-natural-deodorant-stick
